The chapter is preceded by a couple of pages that describe the Nebula Corporation with the kind of language that you might find in some sort of Cult-Corporation hybrid organization. It ends with the narrator offering the elixir of immortality (for a price, of course).
Nicholas, Elean, and the President are at the Daily Days office, discussing the incident at Genoard Manor earlier that day. They discuss Huey Laforet's involvement with the plot, and ponder what he could be planning in Alcatraz. Henry reports that Vino/Rail Tracer/Claire/Felix has made a move. Then, Rachel comes in, fresh off the evening train, having witnessed Christopher and Chi onboard.
