'''Season 2, Episode 02:'''
!Guess Who's Come to Annoy You?

Allan and Linda are once again bickering at home. She [[AsYouKnow brings up a charity fundraiser she'll be hosting that night]], and mentions that she wants to invite Adam. Despite Allan's anger, she still calls Adam's office and invites him to the event.

At the ''Communique'' offices, Rachel gives the brushoff to a book editor named Jordan Tate who represents a number of new writers at a small publishing company. Carrie hears their conversation and invites Jordan to send her the writing samples for consideration in the magazine instead. Afterwards, both of them are shocked when it's revealed that Jordan is Adam's daughter, and that she came by to take him to lunch.

Soon after, Adam and Jordan catch up over lunch and coffee. When he attempts to get her to come over and work for ''Communique'', she rebuffs him and says that she can do just fine on her own. The mood turns sour when Jordan's boyfriend, Randy, shows up and acts foolishly while celebrating his success finding an acting role. Jordan nevertheless tells her father that he can visit their apartment the next day.

Alex finds Peter walking to work and tells him that she's [[CrazyPrepared personally taken care of all their wedding preparations]], including handmade napkin decorations and doves that will be released at the end of the ceremony. Peter quickly dashes her hopes and tells her that they're going to go outside the city and have a small civil ceremony. When she counters that Linda was planning to pay for the ceremony anyway, Peter tells her that he doesn't want to deal with her any longer than he has to.

Allan is at work and calls in one of his security team, Farrow, for a meeting. He asks Farrow to investigate Adam and look [[{{Foreshadowing}} for any other members of his family]] who may have details on him.

The fundraiser takes place that night, and Gil and Rachel awkwardly greet Allan, who accuses the broker of using the money gained from the takeover attempt to donate to Linda's charity. Gil emphasizes that he never directly worked for Allan before leaving. Adam walks in soon after and Allan storms out in frustration.

Adam talks to Linda and she tells him about how successful the fundraiser has been. He offers to donate $200,000 to the cause, on the condition that she go out on a date with him afterwards. They both go out drinking at a Western-themed bar after, and she proves to be [[TheLadette just as capable a drinker as him]]. They discuss each other's first marriages, and he tells her that [[{{Foreshadowing}} he hasn't talked to his son, Tyler, in years]], and that he had to take his kids away from his wife, [[NoticeThis Dianna]], because he didn't trust her judgement. He takes Linda out dancing, and then offers to see her again before she leaves.

At Nikki's apartment, she is still seeing Gabriel, who [[Recap/CentralParkWestS01E13AllanStrikesBack was previously tasked by Allan to kill her]]. After a discussion at his apartment turns heated and she surmises that something isn't right, Gabriel is forced to reveal what Allan had asked her to do. He immediately tries to stop Nikki's questioning by strangling her, but [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone immediately realizes what he's doing]] and tells her to run away. She flees from the apartment and doesn't look back...

The next morning, Linda is nursing a hangover when Allan asks her how the party went. She tells him it was a great success and then receives a gift from Adam in the form of a delivered cowboy hat. She lies and tells Allan that it was a gift from the event committee, but after he leaves, she notices that it has a note asking her to meet in Central Park that afternoon.

Peter goes to meet with Robin outside the New York University campus, and tries to get her to stay by telling her that he loves her instead of Alex, but reluctantly says that he has to get married to the latter because of the baby. Robin tells him that even though she loves him, it's too late to change anything and walks off for good.

Jordan and Carrie meet at the Zinc Bar to discuss the former's pool of writing talent. The discussion turns to Jordan's family history, and she tells Carrie about how her mother, Dianna, [[MissingMom abandoned her and her brother when they were younger]].

At Central Park, Linda meets with Adam and tries to discourage him from pursuing a relationship any further. However, he tells her that she deserves better than Allan and kisses her. At the same time, [[ChekhovsGunman Farrow]] has tailed Adam to the park and takes pictures of their kiss to bring back to Allan.

That night, Farrow brings the photos to Allan, who pledges to make Linda's life a living hell. He goes back home and confronts Linda with the photos and tells her he's getting a divorce. She tells him that she doesn't care about the money anymore and is happy to have another love in her life before leaving the house for good.

Alex goes back to the fertility doctor who artificially inseminated her for the test results, but is shocked when he tells her that the results were negative and she can't try again for another four weeks. Despite her attempts to {{blackmail}} him, he doesn't budge and says there's nothing he can do. She reluctantly goes to Peter's apartment and tells him that she'll agree to marry in secret immediately.

Adam goes to Jordan's apartment for the tour, but is met by Randy, who tries to dissuade him from entering. He then realizes that Randy has been cheating on Jordan with another woman and puts him in a chokehold before telling him to get out of her life. Later, Jordan talks to him about the confrontation and tells him to stay out of her life, and he eventually apologizes for his behaviour.

Linda goes to the ''Communique'' offices and breaks the news of her divorce to Carrie, who offers to have her stay at her apartment for the time being. As she leaves, she runs into Adam and lets him know as well. She stresses that she's not looking for another romance before leaving. After she leaves, Carrie calls Allan and reveals that she has found where Dianna Brock is in Monte Carlo and is forwarding the information to him.

Peter takes Alex out to a private chapel in Vermont for the ceremony, but she surprises him when she reveals that she called the press and shows off a fancy wedding gown hidden under her coat. They quickly enter the chapel and get married...

Allan invites Dianna to New York, and is shocked when she actually shows up for a meeting with him. She thanks him for his generosity and asks why he brought her to the city. He asks for her share in Rush Media, in exchange for [[BestServedCold getting revenge on Adam]], and they agree to [[EnemyMine team up]] to take him down...
