Recap / Blue Shift Deliverance

Go To

Calhoun teleports to the Black Mesa exit location where Rosenberg, Walter, and Simmons were also teleported. Simmons can be seen working to get a vehicle running while Walter works to break the fence gate open. However, Rosenberg notices that something is off about Calhoun's teleportation as he seems to be stuck in resonance displacement. As a result, Calhoun ends up stuck in a teleportation loop where he's teleported to several locations.

He's first teleported back to Xen on several floating rocks. Calhoun's then teleported to a small Black Mesa room where he can see Gordon Freeman through a window being dragged off by the HECU after they got the jump on him at the end of the original game's "Apprehension" level. Another teleportation occurs, which brings Calhoun back to the exit location. Walter has opened the fence gate, and Simmons is seen to have gotten the vehicle working ready to drive everyone away from Black Mesa. Rosenberg is relieved to see that Calhoun's no longer stuck in flux, and thanks him for helping them pull off such an insane plan of escape. Rosenberg assures Calhoun that they've made it as the screen blacks out. The last sound that can be heard being the vehicle driving away from the facility.

The game leaves off with a final message stating that Calhoun's gone out of range.
