The gameplay is largely the same as it was back then, but because it represents a compartmentalized, idealistic high school life that most people never got to live, it manages to stay relevant just by polishing up what was already there. While unrealistic as a whole, the series stays grounded by rooting itself with events that -are- realistic. Taking ordinary, mundane events of the Japanese lifestyle and spicing it up with attractive anime characters with their anime eccentricities is what Tokimemo is all about.
