"Your voice is drowned by this dissonant roar. What a noise the big ocean makes! Schoolboys bursting from their prison are not louder than these waves set free to play. They disturb me. I will have no more of their ill-timed brawling. Silence, hoary one! — Winds, avaunt! — to your homes! Clouds, fly to the antipodes, and leave our heaven clear!"
The Dwarf, Transformation, by Mary Shelley

Aeland's weather was calm. Not too warm in summer. Cold but bearable in winter. Rain fell, but gently, and snow stayed long enough to be pretty before it melted in mild weather. But the common Aelander didn't know that their ideal climate was a continuous effort of magic. Whirling cyclonic winds would devastate all but the sturdiest buildings. Incredible tantrums of rain and lightning would flood Aeland's densely populated coasts and river valleys if not for the Invisibles, who kept the weather pacified.
Witchmark, by C.L. Polk

"Haha, sorry about the storm. This always happens when I get too excited."

It remains unclear whether the akki shamans could in fact create storms or simply predicted them.
The History of Kamigawa, Magic: The Gathering

STORM CONTROL can be exercised by most WIZARDS and many other MAGIC USERS, but even the most EVIL of these is remarkably conventional: rain, hail, snow, dust, ice, and wind are the only kind of STORMS raised. These are, of course, useful in their places, but not one Storm-raiser shows half the invention of, let us say, Moses. Rains of frogs, showers of blood, and Storm-borne locusts are practically unexploited.

It's no other but Mad Jenny, with her fist raised to the sky,
On moonlit nights she walks the strand to curse the ships she spies.
She mutters low so no one hears, and the winds begin to moan,
And sure'n the clouds'll cover the stars, the storm starts in to blow.

Oh, the waves, they can be wicked when Mad Jenny's on a tear,
You can hear the sailors bellow as they bring their ships to bear,
And the widows light a candle and kneel down beside their bed,
For Jenny's on the strand tonight; tomorrow we'll count the dead.

[To Wonder Woman]: Not while my mutant abilities allow me to control the elements themselves. The skies heed me! At my command, the wind blows itself into a gale! The rain becomes a torrent!
—Storm, battling Wonder Woman, Marvel Versus DC #3

"I am the weather. I am pressure and temperature. I am wind... ...and I am whirlwind. I am many things, War. You are one thing. You are fire. What are you when the fire leaves?"
Storm, X-Men Red (2022) issue #16

You command the storm, Thor. I command weather - - and not as a king on a throne. I command it as an equal.
Storm, The Immortal Thor issue #4
