the magnus archives is so wild. the first like twenty episodes are just a very stuffy English guy doing really dramatic readings of short stories and then like thirty seconds of him declaring that all the supernatural stuff is bullshit. in the newest episode that same guy & his traumatized ex-cop coworker decide they are going to travel to the North Pole to use his magical omniscience powers (which he gained while in a coma after blowing up a wax museum full of evil clowns) to prevent Evil Body-Hopping Monster Edmond Halley and his cult from attempting to kill the sun with another smaller, more evil sun
