To hunt a species to extinction is not logical.
— Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Before the 2000s, you could be green with illness, green with envy or green with Irish pride, but it is only after the 2000s that you can be green with pretension.
If Grace is with you, look into her memories. See the world we come from. There's no green there. They killed their Mother, and they're going to do the same thing here. More sky people will come, they're going to keep coming like a rain that never ends - unless we stop them.
— Jake Sully, Avatar
It's easy to take nature for granted, because it's always there. While technology is exciting and new.
— Earl Sinclair, Dinosaurs, "Changing Nature"

Why can't we find a way to safely dispose of radioactive waste and protect the environment? Even if I personally stop this alien invasion, what kind of planet will we be leaving to our children? And our children's children, and... oh the humanity! My big gun is out of bullets!
— The Marine, the Doom comic
So, remember, kids: if we're not nice to Mother Nature... she'll kick our butts.
So don't be cross when momma says turn that extra light out
Just turn it off till we find us a fuel that never runs out
If everyone tries a bit harder
Our fuel will go farther and farther
Energy . . .
FernGully: The Last Rainforest continues the fiction, so reassuring at times, that the most dangerous animal is Man. The story involves the destruction of the rain forest by the slashers and burners and loggers, and its defense by the sprites and fairies of the forest. I am in favor of saving the rain forests and I am appalled by their wanton destruction, but is it not true that Man is the only animal to which it has ever occurred that murder is wrong?
