Carol: Dr Frankin, you have to stop them!
Professor: I'll try, Carol. But when a white coat goes up against a five-star uniform...
Lt. Blue: You don't like soldiers much, do you?
Doctor: You don't need to be liked. You've got all the guns.
I have at my command an entire battle group of the Imperial Guard. Fifty regiments, including specialized drop troops, stealthers, mechanized formations, armored companies, combat engineers and mobile artillery. Over half a million fighting men and thirty thousand tanks and artillery pieces are mine to command. Emperor show mercy to the fool that stands against me, for I shall not.
— Warmaster Demetrius, Warhammer 40,000
Depot commander Vhotin: Authority must be respected. Orders are sacrosanct! Hekate disobeyed! Better that...
Ervin Hekate: B-better that this depot and every Imperial life in it had fallen than I disobeyed your order?
Vhotin: As the Emperor is my judge... Yes.

Year 936 of the Tenth Millennium of His Rule
The hive world of Derondii withholds its annual tithes and the Death Korps of Krieg are deployed to act as the honor guard of Departmento Munitorium investigation team. After the Imperial officials are hanged, the Death Korps deploy in the towering mountains that overlook the main hive. Several artillery and siege companies begin to bombard the hive spires and the inhabitants are gunned down mercilessly as they try to break out from the besieged city.
After ten years of relentless shelling, the hive is reduced to rubble and dust, two years after all signs of life from the hive ceased and five years after the hive issued its unconditional surrender.
"WHEN WE HUNT WE KILL. NO ONE IS SAFE, NOTHING IS SACRED. WE ARE BLACKWATCH, WE ARE THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE. WE WILL BURN OUR OWN TO HOLD THE REDLINE. IT IS THE LAST LINE TO EVER HOLD."
— Creed of the Blackwatch, Prototype
Reporter: "Some say the bugs were provoked by the intrusion of humans into their natural habitat; that a 'live and let live' policy is preferable to war with the bugs."
Johnny Rico: "Let me tell you something. I'm from Buenos Aires and I say KILL EM ALL!"
— Starship Troopers, the Movie
"I realize some of you may be having trouble deciding whether I am kidding or not. So from now on I will tell you when I'm kidding.
For instance, join the National Guard or the Marines and teach democracy. I'm kidding."
Spoony: Oh look, Special Forces from America. Obviously they are here to help me.
"In the worst days of the UNIT era there was at least a sense of tension between the Doctor and UNIT... Because the fact of the matter is that the military is, by definition, a tool of establishment power that prioritizes brute force and is organized according to an authoritarian focus on conformity for its own sake. Thereís no way for the military to be anything else. This isnít a statement of pacifist belief or anything along those lines — itís simply an acknowledgment of how an organization like the military needs to function. And thus the Doctor — mercurial, anarchistic, and intellectual — is at the core of his concept at least mildly hostile to the military. That doesnít mean the Doctor is a pacifist. That doesnít mean the Doctor must always oppose the military. But it does mean that using Doctor Who to blindly and uncritically valorize the military is deeply problematic."
