- Bob and Alice have had sex multiple times before the start of the story. This just so happens to be the first one that's mentioned/shown.
- Alice and Bob get ready to do the deed, but they're interrupted by Claire.

- They've had sex multiple times with other partners; this is the first time they've had sex with each other.
- Alice and Bob throw shoes at Claire until she leaves. Then they do the dirty.

- Bob and Alice have had sex before, and have sex one more time before their relationship ends (either due to them breaking up or due to one or both of them dying).
- Parodied: Bob and Alice have G-Rated Sex for the first time, but make a huge deal of it.

- After Alice and Bob become a couple, a year passes. Alice is shown raising a child, and it's stated that she's the mother and Bob is the father.
- Deconstructed: Because of their lack of experience, their first time is terrible. This led to them to realize they aren't compatible sexually and caused problem in their relationship.
- Reconstructed: While Bob and Alice don't have much experience, their first time still feel amazing because they love each other and are willing to learn to improve their sexual experience.
