    First Type
Basic Trope: They're great with any living thing - except humans.
  • Straight: Alice is a sweet-natured girl who can talk to - and understand - animals and plant life as if they were human, but when it comes to interacting with people of her own species, she panics.
  • Exaggerated: Alice can communicate with anything living, but passes out when a human being so much as looks her way.
  • Downplayed: Alice is more comfortable around animals than people, though she can carry out pleasantries with new people if it doesn't take too long.
  • Justified:
  • Inverted: Animals Hate Him

  • Double Subverted: ...in order to get them to quickly be on their way and not try to convert her.
  • Parodied: The naive Alice goes on a rant about various social injustices that either never existed, barely existed, or have since been fixed.

  • Averted: Both types get along well with other people.

  • Straight: Bob is a savage hunter in the jungle who's learned to live off the fat of the land, but is distrustful of humans.
  • Exaggerated: Bob is a Hunter of His Own Kind.

  • Inverted: Animals Hate Him
  • Subverted: The gruff hunter greets the intruders with reasonable, if not extreme, warmth.

  • Parodied: Bob turned his back on humanity because of a very minor misunderstanding that could have easily been resolved.
  • Zig Zagged: ???
  • Averted: Both types get along well with other people.
  • Enforced: ???

    • "Go away! Me not get along very well with other two-legs."
    • "You know why I like animals? They're honest. A wolf wants to rip a chunk out of you, he doesn't beat around the bush, try and get you to shake his hand first. Simple out here. Not like back in the city. I've been in what you call civilization... Never did seem real civil to me. You stay if you want, but you try and play games with me, I'll gut you without thinking twice."
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: ???
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
  • Deconstructed: What Is This Thing You Call Love?
