Basic Trope: A robot that seems to have a device for anything it encounters
- Straight: Omnitron is a sentient robot that's capable of pulling out any number of weird devices to save the day, even if they don’t seemingly fit in its chest or seem to have no other purpose.
- Exaggerated: Omnitron is basically omnipotent, and can pull entire planets or black holes out of its chest if necessary.
- Downplayed: Omnitron has a large number of general functions and tools, but they can all obviously fit within it’s body and they are things that are generically useful rather than specific or superpowers (lights, fire extinguishers, crowbars, towels…)
- Justified: Omnitron is filled with nanomachines and a Matter Replicator, and thus can just print anything he needs.
- Inverted:
- Omnitron can eat and contain anything - ANYTHING.
- Omnitron only has one device it can use, and does so mercilessly.
- Subverted: Omnitron opens up…to reveal insides filled with wires and general mechanical parts, rather than a new invention.
- Double Subverted: Omnitron then reaches in, and pulls out a BFG as big as it is.
- Parodied:
- Zig Zagged: ???
- Averted: Omnitron if not filled with any abnomal devices for a robot with his job description, instead settling for typical robotic ablates like internet connection and Super-Strength
- Enforced: “We keep writing ourselves into corners… Maybe Omnitron could do something?
- Lampshaded:
- “This situation is perfectly suited to one of my functions, as are all situations.”
- “What can’t Omnitron do? No, seriously, what is there that it can’t do, that question wasn’t rhetorical..."
- Invoked: As it’s designer doesn’t know what strange things Omnitron could encounter in its career as a superhero sidekick, he made sure to pack him with as many useful devices as will fit in the hopes that at least ONE of them will be useful in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel.
- Exploited: Emperor Evulz kidnaps Omnitron and forces it to poke at an alien device, knowing that something the robot can do will help him open it.
- Defied: ???
- Discussed: “I cannot perform that function. What do you think I am - some type of Swiss army knife?”
- Conversed: And Omnitron saves the day via a literal Deus ex Machina again…
- Deconstructed: ???:The Omnitron becomes too heavy to move because it has too many huge gadgets
- Reconstructed: This forces the scientist to make more compact gadgets for the Omnitron
- Played For Laughs: The Omnitron pulls out an automated turkey baster. Or a live cow.
- Played For Drama: The Omnitron turns out to be a Mechanical Abomination crafted by precursor Eldritch Abominations as a harbinger of the Great Old Ones, hense how it has so many gadgets that defy the laws of physics.
- Implied: "The Omnitron is the ultimate fighting machine, capable of destroying any villain. It also makes great curry."
