Basic Trope: If someone eats a lot of food, they will be seen afterwards will a larger belly.

  • Straight:
  • Exaggerated:
    • Alice swells up like a big balloon after eating one California roll.
    • Alice eats so much her belly gets bigger than a house.
    • Alice's stomach swells to the size of the moon.
    • Alice inhales so much her belly is big enough to block the entrance to the cave she and Charlie are hiding in.
  • Downplayed:
    • Alice's clothes get a bit snug after she eats a big meal.
    • Alice gets a little bloated when she uses her air attack.
  • Justified:
    • Alice has an allergy that causes bloating.
    • Alice is a Human Alien with a usually deflated stomach that inflates for digestion.
  • Inverted:
    • Alice is in an advertisement for food that helps one lose weight.
    • Squashed Flat
  • Subverted:
    • Alice is served a large quantity of fattening food. The person who serves it to her expects her belly to be bloated, but she does not gain a single apparent pound.
    • Alice uses her tornado-in-the-gut attack, but yet doesn't expand.
  • Double Subverted:
    • But once Alice unzips her pants, her belly bulges out.
    • Bob asks Alice why she'd didn't get bloated. Alice then unzips her pants and her belly knocks Bob over.
  • Parodied:
    • While the team is hiding in Jack's basement, Alice eats an entire year's supply of dehydrated foods, not knowing they're dehydrated. She then drinks a glass of water and Squicky Hilarity Ensues.
    • A tornado is coming to Troperville, and when Bob and Tony see it and panic, Alice appears, declares "I'll solve it!", and inhales the tornado, bloating up in the process.
  • Zig Zagged: Various scenes are shown involving Alice eating, and her belly is either exaggerated or unchanged.
  • Averted: Alice's belly expands realistically.
  • Enforced: The show is a comedy, and this is the standard result of a binge.
  • Lampshaded: "Hey, are you hungry for some food? Oh, never mind, I see your belly."
  • Invoked: Alice supplements her food with a weight gain pill.
  • Exploited:
    • Alice uses her increased size to crush her foes sumo-style.
    • Alice inflates to use herself as a human shield.
  • Defied:
    • Alice takes medication to prevent her distension.
    • Alice eats slowly to allow all her food to properly digest.
  • Discussed: "You know Bob, your girlfriend isn't that attractive when she eats sushi."
  • Conversed: "See this show? That’s what Alice looks when she goes out for All-You-Can-Eat."
  • Implied: See Discussed, except Alice is The Ghost.
  • Deconstructed:
    • Alice becomes self-conscious about her belly's growth after eating large amounts of food and purges excessively, or barely eats at all.
    • "Pop!" Goes the Human
  • Reconstructed: Alice learns to accept her body for what it is.
  • Plotted A Good Waste: Some people found Alice stuffing herself to be erotic... which was completely intentional.
  • Played for Laughs: Alice explodes like a popped balloon... Only to be completely normal again after an angle change or two.
  • Played for Drama: Alice's gorging herself was due to a previously undiagnosed eating disorder, and now she's dead. Bet you feel bad for laughing now, don't you?
  • Played for Horror: "Pop!" Goes the Human
