A rather chilling encounter for a Wario game.

  • The Brawl Doll is a haunted doll resembling an angel. It hovers around attacking you, it spins its head backwards, and it laughs and screams in an echoing baby voice.
  • Almost every boss looks like something out of a fever dream but what's worse are the noises they make. Special mentions go to Sandworm's pained cries and every noise that comes out of DinoMighty.
  • Clown-A-Round looks innocent and harmless enough... until you knock his head off. This reveals a face (with a creepy grin and huge purple lips) where a neck should be. The heads will bounce around and attack you, too. They even explode when attacked.
    • Some of the standard enemies in Wonky Circus also qualify. The gatorbabies look off-putting and then there's the cage beasts. This small cage, not much bigger than Wario holds an unseen beast that's clearly too big to fit. When Wario gets close, we see two glowing eyes in the cage and a pair of burly lion arms pop out. After the first hit, its legs burst out the bottom. And that's all we see of it.
  • The Winter Windster is an abomination with a gigantic cherubic head and anime hair. Its skin is blue and it has a red nose. Its body, however, is minuscule, and one of its attacks is the "evil eye", a red-eyed glare that leads to Wario being inflated and propelled towards icy spikes. For added horror, you can finish it off by impaling its head on the spikes if you piledrive it with one skull remaining.
  • The Mean Emcee, while looking like a Klasky-Csupo drawing of The Mask, makes really unnerving speech and screaming sounds. This, on top of his fast, erratic actions and animations, makes him a prime example of "cartoonish" gone horrifyingly wrong.
    • And the level leading up to it. "Mirror Mansion" can be creepy as well. The music for the first half of the level gives off mysterious, strange world vibes. Then there's the music for the second half of the level.... the enemies look just as weird. Let's list them shall we? You got big guys with clubs and these creepy looking masks, puppets, Birds are now wearing these creepy looking hoods with blank soulless eyes, magicians in straightjacket with some odd-looking clown-like faces of their own, and ghosts that can only be seen in the mirrors.
  • The Terrible Portaits are minibosses consisting of frames with ghoulish faces in them. The two side frames produce long white arms to cast spells with.
  • DinoMighty is disturbing for other reasons. A Godzilla-sized gecko/dinosaur thing... in a bikini. Although, the fact she mainly attacks with belly-flops and butt-slams may lessen the disturbing factor.
  • Dual Dragon. A giant two-headed dragon that breathes fire at Wario and tries to eat him. Not to mention those big eyes and evil-looking grins. Still, their sort of "dim witted cartoon fish" look and lack of teeth may make this double-headed being one of the less unnerving bosses by appearance...then again, one may still see something "off" about their goofy faces.
  • Though the fight with the Evil Black Jewel isn't the scariest itself, its introduction is plenty freaky. The Jewel comes out of its chest and suddenly sends Wario back to the center of the hub world, which itself is falling apart and whose sky's colors are inverted, lending to an ominous atmosphere. When Wario regains his bearings, he actually looks shocked that these worlds he visited are being destroyed.
