Nightmare Fuel: Kirby of the Stars
It's ironic when Dedede is scarier than the ghost themselves.

Surely such a bright and innocent show based on such a bright and innocent series couldn't have its moments, could it? Wrong!
  • The Demon Beasts, or in the English dub, Monsters, are primarily filled with this. Most are actively violent and willing to cause harm, and with so much imagination, it's pretty much guaranteed to score some frights. For example..
    • WolfWrath. A firey wolf like creature that rampages through Dedede's castle and nearly kills Meta Knight. Freaking Meta Knight.
    • Kirikasan. An ape like creature with scythes for hands and is probably the only creature of the show to kill someone.
    • Masher. A Killer Robot filled to the brim with so many weapons it's not even funny. It also returns a SECOND time, this time even more dangerous. Oh goody.
  • Dedede in the dub is a parody of George Bush, and a hilarious one at that, but in the original, his idiocy leads to active death threats, and attempts at murder, nearly every episode.
  • Some of the deaths can get a little too violent for a kids show. Examples are burning to death, getting slashed in half, eaten, launched into what can only be assumed into space, disintegration, among others.
  • And the grand prize goes to Scare Tactics Part 2. OH GOD. From the numerous horror movie references, to the background music, from the ghosts (like a plasma ghost that leaps at the camera, and a baby ghost with a seriously disturbed face) to a bleeding skull (it was red paint, but still) to that freaking clock room, to a torture room (containing Dedede's apparent death, complete with the red paint blood,) TO the chaos of it all, and the fact that it's an elaborate death trap Haunted House to everything burning down... It's really too much. If you want to see it in full detail, watch it yourself... but BEWARE.
  • Escargone. The episode is about Escargoon not being remembered at all, due to this Demon Beast known as Erasem enters his mind. It's ripe with Paranoia Fuel, and the fact that Erasem actually lives at the end adds to the horror.
  • Escargoon Squad. Very similar to Scare Tactics, it features Escargoon attempting to get revenge. Such examples include a FREAKING TORTURE/GHOST ROOM THAT SCARES DEDEDE CRAPLESS. Also, one lightning flash causes Dedede to go into a horrific state of distortion, almost to the point of being unrecognizable. It provides the page image, even beating out that freaky as hell ghost baby from ST.
  • The Holy Nightmare/Nightmare Enterprises Theme from the original version is surprisingly terrifying.
