Go To

Founded in Chicago in the mid-Eighties, the Dwarves are an American Punk Rock band now based out of San Francisco, known for their bizarre album covers (often featuring female nudity and people with dwarfism), their aggressive, often profane lyrics, and the wild nature of their live shows.

The band is a Revolving Door Band, having gone through over twenty members in the decades of their existence, but has always kept two main members: Paul "Blag Dahlia" Cafaro, the lead singer, and HeWhoCannotBeNamed, the lead guitarist (known for performing in a Rey Mysterio mask, boots, and if he can get away with it, nothing else).

Studio Albums:

  • A Hard Day's Nightmare (as The Suburban Nightmare, 1985)
  • Horror Stories (first album as the Dwarves, 1986)
  • Toolin' For a Warm Teabag (1988)
  • Blood Guts & Pussy (1990)
  • Thank Heaven For Little Girls (1991)
  • Sugarfix (1993)
  • The Dwarves are Young and Good Looking (1997)
  • The Dwarves Come Clean (2000)
  • How To Win Friends and Influence People (2001)
  • The Dwarves Must Die (2004)
  • The Dwarves Are Born Again (2011)
  • The Dwarves Invented Rock and Roll (2015)
  • Radio Free Dwarves (2015)
  • Take Back the Night (2018)

Over tropes, how can I ever get over tropes...

  • Revolving Door Band: Aside from Blag Dahlia and HeWhoCannotBeNamed, all of the other positions in the band are subject to change.
  • Stage Name: Everyone in the band uses one. While Blag Dahlia's real name is public knowledge, HeWhoCannotBeNamed keeps his a close secret.
  • Stripperiffic: A rare male example - HeWhoCannotBeNamed performs in a wrestling mask, a jockstrap, and boots, and nothing else. And if public decency regulations allow it, he'll lose the jockstrap.
