The Bluetones is an English Brit Pop and Indie Rock band. They formed in 1993 in Hounslow with four members: Mark Morriss, Adam Devlin, Scott Morriss, and Eds Chesters.

On the UK Charts, the group has thirteen Top 40 songs and three Top 10 albums. Their relevancy and commercial success fell following the Brit pop era, yet it is still well liked by its rather small fanbase. They are often considered one of the most underrated Brit pop bands.

They originally broke up in 2011 but reunited in 2015 and continue performing to the present. The group is best known for their single "Slight Return".

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love My Tropes:

  • Auto Erotica: The hilariously unsubtle "Autophilia (Or, How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love My Car}", which is so ridiculous that it could easily be mistaken for the lust being directed towards the car itself. She does come in sixteen colours, after all.
  • Brit Pop: The band was a rather popular band in the Brit pop movement to much success, although never to the level of groups such as Oasis.
  • Fat Suit: In the "Marblehead Johnson" music video, skinny band members Mark Morriss, Scott Morriss, Adam Devlin, and Eds Chesters were made up as a band of fat rockers wearing full fat suits and fat hands.
  • Live Album: They released two live albums, Once Upon a Time in West Twelve and Bluetonic
  • Self-Titled Album: Their 2006 album is called The Bluetones.
