The alternate album cover for the international version of High Voltage, used in Europe.
Well if you're lookin' for trouble
I'm the man to see
If you're lookin' for satisfaction
I'm satisfaction guaranteed
I'm as cool as a body on ice
Hotter than a rollin' dice
Send you to heaven
Take you to hell
I ain't foolin'
Can't you tell
"Live Wire"

T.N.T. is the second studio album recorded by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It was released through Albert Recordings in Australia on 1 December 1975.

Like their debut album, it was only released in Australia; however they made their debut internationally with High Voltage (also the name of their debut Australian album) with the majority of the same songs included. The track-list basically consists of the T.N.T. album - replacing "Rocker" and "School Days" with "Little Lover" and "She's Got Balls" from their debut studio album.

Interestingly, "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" was previously recorded as their only single with original singer Dave Evans. T.N.T. is also their first album with bassist Mark Evans and drummer Phil Rudd. While Evans would be sacked after Let There Be Rock - to be replaced by Cliff Williams - Rudd became the band's long-time drummer, and aside from the Young brothers has been the most consistent member - despite an 11 year absence between 1983 and 1994 and his apparent departure in 2015.

It is also the album where they really made it big in their home country, spawning several major hits and Signature Songs in the title track, "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)", "High Voltage", "The Jack" and "Rocker".

Not to be confused with the Norwegian hair metal band TNT.

It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Trope!):

  • Album Title Drop: "High Voltage" wasn't on the album with that name, but "T.N.T." is the title track of the original Australian album.
  • Alliterative Title: "Little Lover".
  • Audience Participation Song: The title track, "High Voltage", "The Jack". Among others.
  • Continuity Nod: "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap," the title of the following album and title track, alludes to both "T.N.T." and "High Voltage".
  • Double Entendre: "The Jack" uses cards as a metaphor for venereal diseases.
  • Everything's Louder with Bagpipes: "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)".
  • Face on the Cover: The international version features Angus Young in his iconic school uniform outfit, playing guitar. The European version is a stylized illustration of Bon Scott and Angus Young performing.
  • Last Note Hilarity: "The Jack" ends with Bon Scott thanking an unappreciative audience.
  • Lyrical Dissonance: "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" is probably the most rousing and upbeat rock song ever recorded about how much it sucks to be in a band.
  • Minimalistic Cover Art: The Australian version is just the band name and album title on pieces of wood.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Implied in the title track.
  • Questioning Title?: "Can I Sit Next To You Girl," although the official title lacks an actual question mark.
  • Rock Star Song: "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" and "Rock 'n' Roll Singer"
  • Shout-Out:
    • "T.N.T." features the line "I'm dirty, I'm mean, I'm mighty unclean", a reference to advertising icon Louie the Fly.
    • "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" by Beastie Boys from their album Licensed to Ill (1986) samples "TNT", though tuned in a different way.
  • STD Immunity: Averted with "The Jack", which is about gonorrhea, albeit not directly.
  • Title Track: "T.N.T."
