->"Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn collaborate on music. This is what it sounds like."

Pomplamoose are a quirky music duo consisting of Nataly Dawn and Jack Conte. Their genre could probably be described best as "Indie Rock Jazz Pop Rock". They became popular on Website/YouTube in late 2009 with some covers of pop songs (see CoverAlbum, below), and also have lots of original music. They also appeared in a few tv commercials for Hyundai and Toyota.

They also have a distinctive style of music videos called [="VideoSongs"=];
->What you see is what you hear. (No lip-syncing for instruments or voice)\\
If you hear it, at some point you see it. (No hidden sounds)

Their Website/YouTube page is here. They also have their own solo careers; their Website/YouTube pages here and here. Conte is also the founder of Patreon a crowdfunding service for independent artists.

!!This duo and their music provide examples of:

* Adorkable: Both of them, UpToEleven. Just watch any of their behind-the-scenes videos. Or any of their videos at all.
* BilingualBonus: "Pomplamoose" is a made-up word that sounds like pamplemousse", the French word for grapefruit.
* Bowdlerization: Invoked/lampshaded in their Single Ladies cover:
-->"Don't make me sing this part of the song, the lyrics are so bad, so we're going to skip ahead to the "single ladies" part instead."
* CoverAlbum: Their album Tribute to Famous People includes:
-->My Favorite Things\\
Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)\\
Beat It\\
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing\\
Telephone
* TheCoverChangesTheMeaning: Some of their covers, arguably.
* EverythingIsAnInstrument: They have lots and lots of real instruments, and then there's stuff like Polaroid cameras and Jack's own face...
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: They seem to like this trope. "Tribute to Famous People", "the album you bought at our show (thanks for that)", etc.
* LyricalDissonance: "Bust your kneecaps", a upbeat, head-bopping song about the various punishments that will be inflicted in you jilt the Don's daughter.
* NeoclassicalPunkZydecoRockabilly: As stated above.
* SchmuckBait: The music video for "Do Not Push" features a literal BigRedButton labeled "do not push" that arrives in the mail. Jack eventually pushes it.
* SelfBackingVocalist: in basically every song.
* SirSwearsALot: Well, she swears as much as anyone else, but some fans apparently consider Nataly to be this, and occasionally ask her if she wouldn't mind swearing less in videos and personal appearances. She has not taken this very seriously.
* StudioChatter
* UncommonTime: Their cover of "My Favorite Things" has verses consisting of three measures of 5/4, two of 6/4 and then back to 5/4 for two more measures; this was a tribute to DaveBrubeck.
