Brainwave is an electronic
band, founded in 2011 by Greg Greenwell and Gabe Shaker.
The current members are:

- Gabe Shaker - guitars, synthesizers, co-production (2011-)
- Lachlan Still - trumpet, "Noteflight", (2013-)

- Shout-Out: Mike Oldfield, Radiohead, deadmau5, and Klaus Schulze are among those thanked in the album descriptions.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Greg. He was called out on this on the very first episode of the podcast, and he immeadiatly burst into a Cluster F-Bomb.
- Song Style Shift: "Steel" starts off with a slow cymbal wash and gentle piano, before the backing synths come in and the drop happens. Then, towards the end, there are a few bars of House Music, before going back to the album's signature ambience.
- The Quiet One: Devin, in his lone appearance on the podcast, kept more to himself, commenting a few times, but mostly leaving things to the other guests.
