Monster: Suikoden
  • Suikoden II features Luca Blight who, as opposed to the ambiguous nature of the game's other villains, is possibly the most evil and sadistic character in the entire franchise (including Yuber). He may also very well be one of the most evil characters ever to be programmed into a video game. Any scene where he is not killing puppies, he is kicking your ass. And he is an enormously Large Ham.
    • In the first five minutes of the game, you will know how evil he is. He has his own youth brigade, just children training to be soliders, attacked and slaughtered by his own troops dressed up as a neighboring nation in order to build up public support for a war against that nation.
    • For reference, one of the first scenes we see him in, he is burning a defenseless village to the ground and slaughtering innocents. When one woman begs for her life, he tells her to act like a pig. She then asks if she can go. Luca then politely requests her to "DIE PIG!" and promptly kills her. Then we get to the final confrontation, as he is covered in an entire battalion's worth of arrows and being attacked by the 18 best soldiers of your army (3 parties of 6 characters). He continues to spout about how incredible and evil he is. "It took hundreds to kill me, but I slaughtered humans by the THOUSANDS! Look at me! I am sublime! I AM THE TRUE FACE OF EVIL!!!"
    • He also sacrifices the entire population of the city of Muse to the Beast Rune while Jowy watches in complete horror, as does the party outside the city. He is so evil that Jowy and other Highlanders betray him to the player's army, which sets up the ambush and his death in the forest.
      • Childkiller: after the mercenary fortress falls to Luca early in the game, Luca is found running Pohl, a teenage boy, through with his sword. He then terrifyingly turns his attention on a very young girl named Pilika and, in a Break the Cutie moment, attempts to run her through as well. Luckily, he was prevented from doing so, but Pilika becomes a Cute Mute after the incident.
      • In the manga of the series, Luca is lured into the ambush with Pilika's light-shining toy. He uses his dying moments to crush it. As a Something Awful goon following the Let's Play posted: "Luca Blight. When your only goal in life to fuck up everything you can possibly reach."
    • Lord Gorudo from the same game may not be anywhere near as vile as Luca (then again, can anyone?), but he still counts. At first, he just seems like your typical corrupt nobleman in that he is selfish, greedy, and doesn't give a damn about anyone other than himself, but when he tries to assassinate Riou and Jowy while they're in the middle of peacetalks and casually murders Nanami in cold blood just because she was in the way of his assassins' arrows, it becomes clear that the guy has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Not to mention, he actively turns his back on refugees trying to flee death, dooming them to slaughter.
  • Neclord, from both Suikoden I and Suikoden II, qualifies. He likes to abduct women as well as slaughter the city of North Window out of boredom. Viktor, being from that city, battles him twice and finally ends him in Tinto with Sierra and Kahn's help.
  • Childerich from Suikoden V is an expy of Luca and shows that he can be just as evil, just not as much of a badass warrior.
  • Valfred from Suikoden Tierkreis retgones an entire country with about a million citizens and does not understand why this is a terrible thing, as well as emotionally manipulating a young girl who views him as a parental substitute into acting as a weapon for him by implanting a magical artifact inside of her that would have killed her once it was activated.
