* Single Sex Offspring: Nanami's family only gives birth to girls, and only a single girl each generation due to a curse/blessing that started from Yukiji that can only end when [[spoiler: a girl of their line and Tomoe fall in love again]]. This makes the finale even more significant when it shows the child Nanami has is a boy, indicating that the curse's conditions have been fulfilled.

* PrettyBoy: It is a [[ShoujoDemographic shoujo series]] after all. Both Tomoe, and especially Kurama, are so pretty it hurts, getting swarmed by every teenage girl that isn't Nanami whenever they appear in public. Up to to the point Kumara build a successful music career as a teen idol on his pretty face alone.
** Mizuki isn't exactly ugly either, but he rarely interacts with mortals.
** On the villains' side you have Kirihito, who despite his doom and gloom, still attracts (unwanted) female interest.

Per TRS. Bishounen is a Definition-Only fan-speak term used only for Japanese/East-Asian media. Examples or audience reactions are not allowed. Moving In Universe acknowledgements/relevance to Pretty Boy. Removing any ZCE or misuse.

BelligerentSexualTension: Almost perfect description of Tomoe and Nanami's relationship. They constantly fight over the least significant things, torment each other and are spiteful to each other, but at the same time, they can't live without the other and would go to Hell - sometimes literally - for each other.

Baleful Polymorph was renamed per TRS

* BalefulPolymorph: One of Tomoe's favorite attacks is to transform an opponent into a game animal of some kind and than use his fox-fire to cook it alive. One especially memorable scene has him turning Kurama into an ostrich. The next thing we see is one of Nanami's classmates informing her that there is an ostrich being chased by a fireball down the hall.
** He earlier did the same thing (except the BalefulPolymorph is a fish this time) to one of Himemiko's attendants after he insults and threatens Nanami.

* CannibalismSuperpower: When Kurama finds out that Nanami is the Land God he immediately thinks he can usurp her power by ''eating her heart!'' Unfortunately for him, Tomoe intervenes and teaches Kurama that this is a [[BalefulPolymorph real]], real bad idea by trying to feed ''him'' to Nanami.
