->"How do my foes keep finding each other?"
-->-- WesternAnimation/KimPossible

If a Superhero has a RoguesGallery, it's an obvious plot for the villains to team up. A Villain Team Up is almost always for the sole purpose of ganging up on a hero or hero team and finishing them off once... and for all!!! Villains will almost never team up to rob a bank together, or commit any other crime together. Usually this is because the typical RoguesGallery has villains with nothing in common at all, other than hating the hero.

This is also why they lose; unlike the heroic team they fight, the villains never trust each other. One of them will alTropes the rest of the group. Usually after they've captured the heroes, thus letting the heroes escape. Some heroes can even cause a "solid" Villain Team Up to implode with FlawExploitation. Other times, one of the villains has planned the whole team-up as a trap from the start. Cue AnAesop about ThePowerOfFriendship. This is one of few situations where maintaining the Status Quo is well Trope.

A variant is that instead of ganging up, they make the heroes RunTheGauntlet. If they get on reasonably well, they'll compliment each other on their evilness. If conditions are right, they may become a BigBadDuumvirate. While this is usually a one-shot team up, a LegionOfDoom is a recurring team of villains and are a major opposition together. Can easily lead to a JokerJury situation. When done badly can lead to instant VillainDecay, as the hero trashes six people who each used to be a threat to them on their own. This trope is the opposite of EvilVersusEvil. When a villain teams up with the hero, that's EnemyMine.

Compare EvilIsOneBigHappyFamily and LegionOfDoom. Contrast SuperTeam.

* Defied in Manga/Bleach: Yhwach made a point about visiting the last major villain, Aizen, in his prison cell to offer him to join his army. Aizen refused, presumably because his AGodAmI delusions of godhood left him too proud to become anyone's henchman, even if the person making the offer was capable of one-shotting an enemy that Aizen wasn't willing to approach without major preparations.
* In the Manga/Devilman versus Manga/GetterRobo Crossover, the demons team up with the Dinosaur Empire.
* Franchise/DragonBall:
** In Anime/DragonBallZ Cell, Frieza, and his QuirkyMinibossSquad teamed up to take over Hell. They got along surprisingly well.
** In Anime/DragonBallGT practically everyone the protagonists had ever killed teamed up in Hell to try to get revenge, though most of them were just used as distractions until Dr. Myuu and Dr. Gero could create Super Android 17.
* In the episode of Manga/InuYasha entitled 'Naraku and Sesshomaru Join Forces'...Take a wild guess.
* In the Anime/MazingerZ versus Manga/Devilman feature, Dr. Hell and the demons collaborate to take down Kouji Kabuto and Devilman. It may be subverted, since Hell used a mind-control device to enslave the demons, and he was mainly interested on taking down Mazinger Z (he only sent some demons and Mechanical Beasts against Devilman because the demons warned him he would interfere).
* Malik/Marik and Yami Bakura from Anime/YuGiOh Battle City arc.
* In the Manga/MagicKnightRayearth anime, Alcyone proposes this with Ascot (they're both minions of the BigBad, but they work independently). He follows her lead in good faith, but she tricks him into giving one of his beloved creatures a DeadlyUpgrade and then freezes him solid when he gets upset, laughing over his gullibility.
* Manga/Naruto:
** Kabuto and end up doing this are doing this.
** Kabuto takes it a step further with his . They are mostly villains, but they also include some heroes.
* The final arc of Anime/TigerAndBunny saw a Villain Team Up of BigBad and villain from one of the earlier episodes, . They got along very well, despite that one of them was NEXT-hater and the other was secretly a NEXT himself .

* In ComicBook/PowerGirl fanfic Fanfic/AForceOfFour, Franchise/WonderWoman's enemy Badra and three Kryptonian criminals – Mala, Kizo and U-Ban — join forces to destroy the Amazons, Power Girl and then Earth.
-->"My name is Badra," she said to them, through Mars's alien gases. "I believe you are Mala, Kizo, and U-Ban, of Krypton. We have enemies in common. Let us talk."
* The Franchise/DisneyAnimatedCanon fanfic The Hellbound Hearts consists of several Disney villains forming a loose companionship to get revenge on their enemies, and eventually take over the world. Then there's another group that wants to take advantage of the war to take over the world. And Frollo... he's just... there.
* In the first story arc of ComicBook/Supergirl fanfic Fanfic/HellsisterTrilogy, Mordru bullies Satan Girl, the Legion of Super-Villains and more into serving him. And at the beginning of the second arc, Brainiac and Lex Luthor are putting together an army of villains:
-->"Our foe, the Anti-Monitor, has fled or has died. Not even I can detect his presence, either in our universe, or in his. My calculations must be true. The Crisis he created is over. But great unsettlement remains. We all crave power, for various reasons. Now is the time to strike. Not even the heroes of the five remaining Earths can withstand our combined power."\\
Not all of those who listened to Brainiac nodded, but most knew the truth of that. Super-villains outnumbered super-heroes by a factor no one had yet calculated. If they all struck at once, in coordinated effort, little could be beyond their grasp. Better yet, within their grasp might be the lives of those heroes who had opposed them, defeated them, imprisoned them.
* FanFic/UltimateSleepwalker: The New Dreams plays this trope with an unusual spin. Instead of any of Sleepwalker's enemies teaming up, it's ComicBook/SpiderMan's enemies that reunite as the Sinister Six to carry out Doctor Octopus's latest diabolical scheme. Sleepwalker and several other heroes are hastily recruited by the web-slinger into an impromptu team to even the odds.
** A very similar story happened in the Revenge of the Sinister Six" storyarc in which Spidey enlists the aid of Sleepwalker and other heroes in order to fight Doc Ock and the SS.
* FanFic/ADarkKnightOverSinCity has various Franchise/Batman villains teaming up with ComicBook/SinCity villains.
* Fanfic/FalloutEquestria:
** Red Eye and the Goddess, though both are plotting behind each other's back.
** Subverted example: the Enclave tries to form one with .
* FanFic/GettingBackOnYourHooves: the story's definite BigBad, Checker Monarch, employs the Diamond Dogs to help her ruin Trixie's life. It's worth noting that the Dogs don't care about this goal, and they have no real agenda of their own either -- they're Only In It For The Gems.
* PlayedWith in the FanFic/CalvinAtCamp episode "A Stalkers Life"--multiple villains appear to attack the kids, yet they do nothing but trip each other up.
* FanFic/FacingTheFutureSeries:
** In Strength in Numbers, Desiree recruits several of Danny's other ghostly enemies in order to finally beat him.
** In Bad Breakup, an even larger number of ghosts team up to break up Danny and Sam, due to the latter's new powers making them too tough to take on together.
** In Paired Together, after Skulker and Technus accidentally get fused together, they decide to make the situation work to their advantage .
** In What She Wants, Sydney Pointdexter decides to help Desiree overcome her AchillesHeel of needing to grant all wishes she hears .
** In Ancient History, Hotep-Ra manipulates Ghost Tucker into an alliance against the heroes.
* FanFic/EarthAndSky: After Chrysalis Prince Blueblood discovers it, and takes advantage of the situation to strike a deal -- he'll stay quiet about what he knows, in exchange for Chrysalis using her new position to . However, the deal ends up falling through when .
* FanFic/BurningBlack: Remy has coerced both Crocker and Dr. Bender into working for him, and at the same time is in a secret alliance with , which even the other villains are unaware of.
* Fanfic/OliviaGoesWest: After Cat R. Waul from WesternAnimation/AnAmericanTail: Fievel Goes West rescues Ratigan from Disney/TheGreatMouseDetective from falling to his death from Big Ben, Waul takes Professor Ratigan to America in a scheme to run him for president and take over the country.
* Fanfic/XSGCOM: Near the end of the first story, Anubis and Loki strike a resource-sharing alliance against Earth and the System Lords.
* The Pooh's Adventures series pulls this off tons of times. The villain of the movie Pooh is going through will almost always have back up from another villain, sometimes a villain working for a BiggerBad. And then there are times when an entire LegionOfDoom teams up with a villain, or have them join their ranks.
* FanFic/MyLittleUnicorn:
** Nightmare Moon and Titan's henchmen team up in order to take over Equestria.
** A smaller-scale example occurs in Episode 16 of My Brave Pony: Starfleet Magic III, where Raven and Harkin team up.
* FanFic/JusticeLeagueOfEquestria:
** During the second arc of Mare of Steel, Alexander Silversmith and ComicBook/Brainiac ally against Supermare. This alliance technically includes Steel Wing as well, but it's clear from the beginning that he's just Brainiac's UnwittingPawn [[spoiler: and he gets thrown under the bus once he's no longer needed.]]
** While The Princess of Themyscria does not itself have villains teaming up, one of its Sequel Hooks suggests a future alliance between Ares and Circe, when the two meet after .
* FanFic/ThePowersOfHarmony: Chrysalis frees Sombra from his imprisonment in order to help her take over the Crystal Empire (and by extension, all of Tarandus) as part of her larger plan for a full-scale invasion of Equestria. She keeps him on a short leash, however, which makes him plot against her even more than he probably already would be anyway.
* FanFic/ShadowsAwakening:
** Daolon Wong and The Phantom/Kyosuke ally fairly early on in the story, with The Phantom making it perfectly clear that he's only using Wong to further his own agenda. And then it turns out that The Queen and Tarakudo are operating under a similar setup.
** Near the end of the story, spoiler:it turns out that the Queen and Kyosuke cut a deal behind their partners' backs; on condition of Wong's failure and the Queen proving herself a more worthy ruler of the Shadowkhan, Kyosuke will pledge loyalty to her. This is exactly what comes to pass.
* FanFic/DaveStdiderPokemonTraner: Team Bad and Elite Four Boss have teamed up on several occasions in order to accomplish absolutely nothing, because they all really suck.
* In FanFic/MegaManReawakened, Dr. Wily is allied with Glyde and his Birdbots.
* Fanfic/TheLionKingAdventures:
** Hago and Scar, the two main villains of Series One, team up in King's Ransom to eliminate Simba and Nala and take over the Pride Lands. However, when this plan fails, they blame each other and go their separate ways... until Army of Evil, where Hago convinces Scar to team up again, leading to the successful conquest of the Pride Lands. This lasts until the following story, Friends to the End, where [[spoiler: Scar goes insane, causing Hago to kill him]].
** Rebirth sees Shocker, the Interceptor, and Froggy team up to resurrect and use him to destroy Simba and his friends. Even after this plan falls through and Froggy runs away, Shocker and the Interceptor stay in an increasingly-strained alliance for the rest of Series Four, which ends with [[spoiler: the Interceptor throwing Shocker into the lava destroying the Pride Lands in a (failed) attempt to kill him]].
** One Bad Night sees Froggy return and ally with Simba's EnemyWithin, the King of Dreams, in an attempt to trap Simba in the dream world and kill him. [[spoiler: As soon as he's no longer needed, the King kills Froggy]].
* FanFic/WhenWorldsCollideMarioSonicAndMegaManCrossover has Bowser, Dr. Eggman, and Dr. Wily teaming up to take on their respective enemies.
* FanFic/TheEquestrianWindMage:
** Dethl and Sombra ally at the end of Season One, with the former promising the latter aid in reclaiming the Crystal Empire, in exchange for agreeing to serve as the Church of Majora's representative in Equestria.
** It is mentioned that Ghirahim and Chancellor Cole are working with Dethl.
** When Ganondorf arrives in Season 2, Grey Hoof is one of the beings he recruits to help enforce his rule.
** Majora intends to recruit Ahuizotl and his followers, in order to form a base core for the Church's presence in Equestria... and then to kill Ahuizotl himself when he's no longer necessary. [[spoiler: Ghirahim lets this slip, causing Ahuizotl to team up with Daring Do and flee.]]
** We later learn that Veran, Onox, and Yuga are also affiliated with Majora, and that Majora wishes to recruit Grogar as an ally.

** After Grogar is recruited, he is used to recruit Tirek as well.
* In Fanfic/ShadowsOfGiants, King Ghidorah gathers Gigan, Monster X, Destoroyah, [=SpaceGodzilla=], and Hedorah and convinces them to team up and get revenge against Godzilla.
* Fanfic/FriendshipIsMagicalGirls:
** For most of the Magic Arc, there's a tenuous alliance between Sunset Shimmer and Chrysalis, who are each using the other to achieve their individual goals; this later expands to include Trixie, whom Sunset hires to aid in eliminating the Element Bearers. However, this alliance ultimately falls apart when
** Halfway through the Loyalty Arc, [[spoiler: Flash Sentry]] sets out to recruit Trixie to aid his people in their own plans against the mahoushoujo.
* FanFic/Webwork: It's eventually revealed that Daolon Wong and Bartholomew Chang forged an alliance offscreen at some point between their respective escapes from the J-Team. And then they pretty much press-gang Kasahara/Origami into the alliance as well .
* In the Fanfic/ElementalChessTrilogy, it's revealed in the third installment that
* Happens a few times in the Contractually Obligated Chaos series. In the first story, a handful of canon characters from the show come together to make things difficult for the heroes. In the third story, the OriginalCharacter ArcVillain gets some support from an extremely minor character who appeared in one episode.
* Fanfic/ChildOfTheStorm:
** A major plot point of the first book is Lucius Malfoy forging an alliance with HYDRA and Gravemoss.
** The first book's epilogue reveals that the resurrected Voldemort has allied with Selene.
** And in the sequel, is revealed to be working with the Red Room.
** Also in the sequel, Voldemort concludes an additional alliance with Dracula... who promptly pulls an EvilerThanThou on him.
* Fanfic/Empathy: One of the ForWantOfANail-inspired differences in this universe is that Yokai is eventually revealed to be in a team-up with [[spoiler: Captain Smek]].
* One of the main plot points of Fanfic/TheNewAdventuresOfInvaderZim is that Zim meets and allies with the vampire Norlock, who offers aid in his conquest of Earth (mostly for his own amusement).
* The main antagonists of FanFic/IWarrior are a renegade faction of Yuuzhan Vong who have allied with the enigmatic Sith Lord known as TheMaster .
* FanFic/SonOfTheSevenKingdoms:
** Viserys eventually allies with the Mythic Dawn.
** Clan Volkihar is revealed to be working with the White Walkers [[spoiler: who are serving Alduin]].
* Guardians, Wizards, and Kung-Fu Fighters: When Wong becomes TheStarscream to Phobos, not only does his buddy the Tracker join him in his plotting, but Cedric strikes up an alliance as well.
* The Franchise/Batman and WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug fanfic, Fanfic/MiraculousKnight, features the Joker, the Riddler, and Hawk Moth teaming up
* Fanfic/EarthsAlienHistory has a couple of examples:
** The Mekon allies with the Romulans and Gamilans in order to invade Citadel space.
** The Reverse-Flash joins up with Franchise/FactionParadox in order to manipulate the timeline for their own ends. They also make temporary alliances with the Primagen and the Reapers at various points for specific plans.
** The Decepticons and Rita Repulsa team up, mostly due to both taking up residence on Earth's moon and not viewing each other as a threat because of their exclusive goals (the Decepticons want resources from Earth to help conquer Cybertron, Rita wants the Earth itself).
** Scorponok's rogue faction of Decepticons end up allying with the Klikiss robots to make war against all organic life.
* Fanfic/RainbowDoubleDashsLunaverse: By the end of the first series, four corrupt politicians have teamed up to try and get the Element Bearers under their hooves - Greengrass, Archduke Fisher, Puissance, and Blueblood. And by the time we see them working together, Puissance has inadervtantly removed herself from the team-up being distracted by shiny new technology. Meanwhile, Greengrass and Fisher are already trying to get Blueblood out of the way.

* In Disney/Aladdin The Return Of Jafar, Abis Mal accidentally becomes Jafar's master and is promised his third wish if they work together to kill Aladdin.
* DoubleSubverted in WesternAnimation/TheThiefAndTheCobbler. When the evil grand vizier Zigzag goes to join the BigBad, the Mighty One-eye (who has an entire army of monstrous one-eyed men at his command), One-eye is unimpressed and has Zigzag thrown to his alligators. However, with his charisma Zigzag is able to convince the alligators to spare his life and help him out of the alligator pit. This impresses the Mighty One-eye enough to let him join him.
* This more or less happens in Don Bluth's WesternAnimation/1994 when StalkerWithACrush Determinator Grundel blackmails slimy Jerkass Berkley Beetle to search for the title character.
* What might be the biggest villain team-up yet in film happens in WesternAnimation/TheLEGOBatmanMovie first with ComicBook/TheJoker and what is esentially the entire Batman's RoguesGallery, but then after [[spoiler:he escapes from the Phantom Zone he brings back; Film/KingKong, Sauron, Lord Voldemort, the Daleks, the Gremlins, Agent Smith, the Wicked Witch of the West and her flying monkeys, Medusa, the Kraken, the T. rex and Velociraptors, Count Dracula, Film/Jaws, the Mummy, Zod, Skeletons, and the Film/CreatureFromTheBlackLagoon.]]

* The 1966 Film/BatmanTheMovie featured a team-up between Joker, Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman.
** Several of the TV episodes of that series featured team-ups between various villains, they did no better or worse than usual against Batman.
* Film/BatmanForever has Riddler and Two Face team up, while Film/BatmanAndRobin has Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy team up (whether Bane is a villain or a henchman, you pick). In the latter's case Ivy is manipulating Freeze, which doesn't work out for well for her when he finds out. Film/BatmanReturns deconstructs this trope, showing Catwoman and the Penguin working together for all of five minutes before breaking it off.
* Film/BatmanBegins has the Scarecrow initially working with Falcone, and unwittingly working for Ra's Al Ghul. Film/TheDarkKnight is borderline, as the Joker creates the second villain but never truly works with him; however, the Joker does initially work with the mob. In Film/TheDarkKnightRises, Selina Kyle being blackmailed into providing some assistance to Bane is borderline given she becomes more of an Anti Heroine later and ... but [[spoiler:Talia Al Ghul being the woman behind the man]] is a definite case.
* Series/KamenRiderDenO: Climax Deka features the Imagin Negataros forms an "evil syndicate", and to strengthen their numbers, he recruited Fangire into his cause. In turn, this necessitates the arrival of the Fangires' main enemy, Series/KamenRiderKiva, to come to the aid of Den-O and his allies.
* Spiderman
** Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan2 has a villain team up between Harry Osborn/The Goblin and Max Dillon/Electro. The alliance is shaky (since Dillon doesn't have any sentiment for Harry due to his background with Oscorp; Harry brokers the team-up by saying both of them were shafted by Oscorp) but Dillon's desire to strike back at Oscorp and Spider-Man is enough to get them working together. At the end, Harry
** Film/SpiderMan3 has a team up with Sandman and Venom, with New Goblin just sort of hanging around.
* Film/Superman II has Lex Luthor initiate a team up with the 3 Kryptonians, but ends up with the short end of the stick very quickly.
* SuperSentai crossover movies typically have the current villain group team up with the remnants of the previous villain group.
* Film/XMenTheLastStand had Magneto convince Jean Grey in Phoenix form to work together; sadly, this was because

* Literature/Archvillain: the Blue Freak teams up with Mad Mask in the second book. .
* In Taylor Anderson's Literature/Destroyermen, this is a fear of the Grand Alliance should their two enemies (the Japanese-aided Grik and the Holy Dominion) find out about each other. While they admit that the thoroughly racist Doms wouldn't even consider allying with such vile creatures as the Grik, they wouldn't put it past Hisashi Kurokawa or the Celestial Mother to offer the Dominion a chance to join the Hunt. By the end of Storm Surge, both of the enemies are aware of one another. The Doms intend to send an expedition across the Atlantic to see if the Grik can somehow be subverted to serve their "holy" purpose. Of course, the "Grand Alliance of all Allied powers united beneath (or beside) the Banner of the Trees" is the heroic version of this. Originally made up of the crew of the USS Walker and several Lemurian Homes, it now includes most of the known Lemurians, several more crossed-over crews, the Empire of New Britain Isles, and the Republic of Real People. Additionally, another potential new ally is found, the .
* In Lies, the third book of the Literature/Gone series,
* In Literature/LoyalEnemies, the BigBad turns out to be a team of separate villains working together for a common goal and doing their best to off the heroes. There's who was once (correctly) accused of practicing dark forms of necromancy, and Etvor, a psychopathic werewolf, as well as a rogue monster hunter and his former apprentice
* Two of the more colorful villains in the Literature/Relativity series are Cricket and Carnie Kid. So, naturally they're the two who end up teaming up. Of course, it doesn't run smoothly...
* In the Franchise/StarTrekNovelVerse, Villain Team Up is the idea behind the Literature/StarTrekTyphonPact series, though it's uncertain if the Typhon Pact is an enemy of the United Federation of Planets or not. Politically, everything is highly uncertain, following the formation of the Pact in Literature/ASingularDestiny. While the Pact members were historically antagonistic, their outlook is changing, at least in some cases.
* The failure half of this occurs in the Franchise/StarWarsExpandedUniverse novel Darth Bane: Path of Destruction due to nature of the Sith's ChronicBackstabbingDisorder. Bane creates his rule of two to avoid this problem.
* The fourth Literature/SkulduggeryPleasant book see's the 'Revenger's Club' created, a group of various nefarious figures from the previous books who have tentatively teamed up under the BigBad who's promised them each their personal vengeance on the protagonists. Rounding out the partnership is Matai Shang's daughter Phaidor, though she's genuinely loyal to her dad and is mostly along for the ride rather than a co-conspirator.
* In Literature/TwilightSparkleAndTheCrystalHeartSpell, Trixie and Gilda have become partners in crime since we last saw them, though for the moment they're just pulling pranks, conning crystal ponies, and giving Twilight bad advice.

Ungoliant succeed, drinking the light out of the Trees and killing them, submerging the entire Arda in darkness. Later, Ungoliant request all of Morgoth’s treasures including the Simlarils and he refuses, causing the battle between the two.
** Literature/TheLordOfTheRings: Saruman manage to bring the Southern Men and the Pirates into an alliance serving Sauron. Notice that unlike the Orcs and Trolls, the Southern Men and Pirates are by no mean bound to Sauron's magic and influence and were already a treat on their own.

** Spike promises Xander and Giles a team-up with Faith after she awakes from her coma, but it doesn't pan out.
** There's one between Faith and Mayor Wilkins that lasts for about half of S3.
** On a larger scale, one of Adam's goals in S4 is to unite vampires and demons.
* Series/BurnNotice: In the episode "Dead" Larry Sizemore and Tyler Brennen, two of Michael Westen's worst enemies, team up. Their partnership lasted just half the episode, since Larry
* Series/ElChapulinColorado: Tripaseca, Cuajináis, Chory and La Minina all team-up in episode ¡No seas torpe, Chapulín! trying to trick the heroe into using his chiquitolina pills and crush him. Thankfully TheGoodGuysAlwaysWin.
* Series/Defiance: Near the end of the first season, Datak allies with the corrupt Earth Republic (represented by Colonel Marsh) in order to and help Datak win the mayoral election. In exchange, the plan is that Datak will help the E-Rep gain control of Rafe's mines (with Datak getting a sizable chunk of the profits).
* Series/DoctorWho:
** The last few scenes of "Frontier In Space" reveal that the Master has, for the whole story, been acting as a PsychoForHire for the Daleks.
** The episode "Doomsday" makes this a SubvertedTrope; the Cybermen offer the Daleks an alliance. The Daleks instinctively refuse. The rest of the episode involves the Daleks and the Cybermen kicking the snot out of each other, with the Doctor and the humans trapped in the middle.
** A comic strip from the 1990s parodies this, with an omnipotent superbeing uniting all the Doctor's enemies together as one super-army, and then siccing them on all (then) eight Doctors. The Doctors point out the obvious flaw in the logic of bad guys all of whom they'd already defeated uniting to try and defeat them again... and then go on to defeat them all again.
** Part of the plot of "Mark of the Rani", wherein the Master and the Rani team up against the Sixth Doctor, though it's not really a mutual agreement. The Master blackmails and bribes the Rani into cooperating with him, and when he eventually botches the entire plan due to his obsession with the Doctor, the Rani registers her displeasure.
** In "The Pandorica Opens" almost all of the Doctor's enemies we've ever heard of and more descend on Earth in 102A.D. to witness the title event. spoiler:Turns out that, while the Doctor knew the Pandorica was a prison of some sort he had assumed it was already occupied by someone. Really what happened was that all of his foes came together to trap the Doctor in the Pandorica in order to prevent the destruction of the universe at his hands.
** The end of "Dark Water" reveals that Missy had been working with the Cybermen all along. Except that Missy [[spoiler:is really the Master.]]
* As expected, this happens in Series/TheFlash2014. First, there are the Rogues (Leonard "Captain Cold" Snart, Mick "Heat Wave" Rory, and Lisa "Golden Glider" Snart). Then there are the two Tricksters. And later we have Mark "Weather Wizard" Mardon breaking the older Trickster and Cold out of jail in an attempt to team up against the Flash. Cold ends up walking away and even warning Barry, as Barry has saved his sister a few episodes earlier (plus, it's Christmas). The Trickster and Mardon, however, do nearly succeed in killing Barry (). There are also the Reverse-Flash and Gorilla Grodd, although, in a weird way, it's more of a father-son relationship.
* Series/Gotham does this frequently. Examples include Penguin and the Riddler; the Riddler, Tabitha Galavan, and Barbara Kean; Penguin and Ivy; and Jerome, Scarecrow, and Mad Hatter.
* Series/Heroes: Season Three is about
* The Series/Highlander two-parter, "Unholy Alliance", in which James Horton and Xavier St. Cloud team up.
* The Ecoloco from Series/OdiseaBurbujas teams up with Peter Punk and Socapa, respectively, in different episodes.
* Franchise/PowerRangers:
** Series/PowerRangersInSpace: There was the United Alliance of Evil, a group formed by Dark Spectre and comprised of the villains from the first five seasons, namely Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, the Machine Empire and Divatox.
** In Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder, when Lothor returned, he briefly teamed up with Mesogog. After the Rangers foiled their plan, Mesogog ended the alliance and the two villains fought each other. Mesogog won.
** In Series/PowerRangersSPD, when Emperor Grumm went back in time, he teamed up with Zeltrax.
** With four villain factions in Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive, it was unavoidable there'd be some occasional team ups but the most memorable was when Thrax, the son of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd, temporarily united all of them against the Power Rangers. The villains made it quite clear they'd only be united against the Rangers and, after the heroes were permanently dealt with, the factions would war among themselves again. Well, it was said at the top of the page the villains usually only team up to destroy the heroes. That alliance ended when Thrax was destroyed.
* Series/Revolution: Monroe and Randall Flynn ally in the second half of the season, starting at the end of episode 11.
* Series/Smallville: There have been a few villain team-ups. Firstly, in season 3, three of the meteor freaks Clark Kent had taken down teamed up to steal his powers and escape. There have also been team-ups between Brainiac and Bizarro, Lex and Toyman, and recently several Superman villains from the comics were teamed up by [=LuthorCorp=] to become Smallville's version of the Injustice Gang.
* Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine: The Cardassians and the Dominion form an alliance in the last few seasons, which eventually expands to include the Breen.
* Series/Supernatural:
** Crowley manages to temporarily team up with Raphael in the sixth season finale after , but that lasted all of ten minutes before .
** Both Crowley and the Alpha Vampire attempt to pull one with Dick Roman in the following season (Crowley even bakes gluten-free baby uvula muffins for the occasion!), but both get shot down.
** Seasons before any of them, "Fresh Blood" had a team-up between the show's at-the-time-only-two recurring human villains, Bela Talbot and Gordon Walker.
* TV Colosso: There was a sketch named "As Aventuras do Super Cão" (The Adventures of Super Dog. Not that superdog). In one episode, the villains teamed up and the eponymous hero wasn't worried. The villains argued about who had the idea one of them was presenting.

* All of the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse films feature this:
** Film/IronMan featured the Ten Rings terrorist group teaming up with .
** Film/TheIncredibleHulk had General Ross and Emil Blonsky, before [[spoiler:Blonsky teamed up with Samuel Stern/The Leader to turn into The Abomination, forcing Ross to team up with the heroes to beat him]].
** Film/IronMan2 had Whiplash team up with Justin Hammer, although their alliance was short-lived.
** Film/Thor gets twisty. Loki manages to convince Laufey of Jotunheim that they're working towards the same end .
** Film/CaptainAmericaTheFirstAvenger had the ComicBook/RedSkull and Arnim Zola.
** The Avengers had Loki and the Chitauri soldiers, later revealed to be an army controlled by .
** Film/IronMan3 had The Mandarin and , along with Coldblood.
** Film/ThorTheDarkWorld featured Malekith the Accursed and Algrim, who becomes Kurse.
** Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier had the eponymous Winter Soldier, Crossbones and all working for . Batroc the Leaper appears to be working with them as well,
** Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy had Ronan the Accuser allying with Nebula, who's acting as an emissary of Thanos.
** Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron had Ultron team up with They defect to the heroes' side once they find out what Ultron's ultimate goal is.
** Film/AntMan comes the closest to averting this, but near the end it's revealed that Darren Cross has been knowingly associating with and is preparing to sell them the Yellowjacket and Ant-Man suits.
** Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar inverts this: the most teaming up that the main antagonist Helmut Zemo does is through coercion with mostly unwilling partners. The main team-ups are done by the opposing groups of heroes, and which side is the more antagonistic one is left up to the viewer.
** Doctor Strange featured the sorcerer Kaecilius and his zealots attempting to contact the cosmic being Dormammu in order for him to bring about the engulfment of earth into the Dark Dimension.
** Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2 had Nebula team up with a group of rogue Ravagers to overthrow Yondu, and said Ravagers also have dealings with Ayesha of the Sovereigns to help her get revenge on the Guardians. None of them however team up with the film's main villain , and teams up with the Guardians to help take down.
** Film/SpiderManHomecoming featured the Vulture employing the Tinkerer, Montana, and Shocker, and selling weapons to the Scorpion.
** Film/ThorRagnarok had Hela team up with Skurge to take over Asgard, while on the planet Sakaar, Scrapper 142 collects prisoners for the Grandmaster. Both underlings end up . Loki naturally switches sides a few times before ending the movie on side. The movie also features an interesting variation on this trope: .
** Black Panther had Killmonger teaming up with Klaue to steal some Vibranium and sell it on the black market. Though it later turns out that Killmonger was planning all along to betray Klaue, so that .
** Film/AvengersInfinityWar featured Thanos teaming up with the Black Order (referred to in-film as the "Children of Thanos") in order to retrieve the Infinity Stones. Subverted with Loki, who attempts to re-form his alliance with Thanos from the first Avengers film; .
* In the Series/AgentsOfSHIELD episode "A Hen in the Wolf House", Cal teams up with Comicbook/HYDRA head Daniel Whitehall, noting that the two of them have a mutual enemy in Coulson. Their alliance lasts a few episodes, but ultimately [[spoiler: Cal may have his issues with Coulson, but he utterly hates Daniel Whitehall - the man who tortured Cal's wife to death and is ultimately responsible for Cal losing his daughter, Daisy - and is simply using Whitehall and HYDRA to get to his daughter, then plans to murder Whitehall the first chance he gets.]].
** Partway through Season 4, Doctor Radcliffe and his robot assistant AIDA go rogue from SHIELD and team up with the Watchdogs, led by Anton Ivanov/The Superior -- the Watchdogs get inside information to use against SHIELD and the Inhumans, while Radcliffe and AIDA get the resources needed to perfect the Framework. [[spoiler: During the final arc of the season, AIDA betrays Radcliffe and turns Ivanov into a BrainInAJar controlling a series of robot bodies in order to aid her own plans for the Framework.]]

* The Paul [=McCartney=] song "Magneto & Titanium Man" is about the titular Marvel comics supervillains teaming up to rob a bank, and dragging fellow supervillain Crimson Dynamo along for the ride.

* There have been MANY stables in wrestling history that were centered around a manager who was supposedly looking out for the financial interests of his wrestlers. While this was usually Kayfabe, "Precious" Paul Ellering, who assembled the original Legion of Doom in Georgia in the 1980s, which featured the TagTeam Wrestling/TheRoadWarriors, really was the team's legitimate business manager in RealLife.
* And sometimes, evil managers team up, such as Wrestling/JimCornette and Wrestling/MrFuji.
* Wrestling/TheFourHorsemen can be considered the TropeCodifier for professional wrestling. This particular group, known in wrestling as a "stable" or "faction," first formed with Wrestling/RicFlair, Ole Anderson, Wrestling/ArnAnderson and Tully Blanchard. Various incarnations lasted for 13 years; however, they have direct descendants running up to today's current wrestlers.
* The very unlikely pairing of The Berserker and Papa Shango against the equally unlikely pairing of Wrestling/UltimateWarrior and Wrestling/TheUndertaker.
* Rival heel stables Wrestling/TheCorporation and The Wrestling/MinistryOfDarkness put aside their differences and teamed up to take on their mutual enemies. Wrestling/VinceMcMahon was the Higher Power controlling both groups the entire time as part of his EvilPlan to get the title off of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin though, so at the very least Vince, Shane, and Wrestling/TheUndertaker were in cahoots the entire time. The members of the Corporate Ministry still didn't get along very well though, especially Undertaker and Wrestling/TripleH, and the group disbanded right after the Austin vs Vince feud ended.
* The Four Horsemen and the Wrestling/DungeonOfDoom created the Alliance to End Hulkamania to finally get rid of Boring Invincible Hero Wrestling/HulkHogan. It failed miserably.
* Wrestling/TheUndertaker and Wrestling/Kane would alternate between heels and faces during their time as a tag team: the Brothers of Destruction.
* La Nazi joined up with Los Boricuas (Comandante Pierroth and Rico Suave's group in Wrestling/CMLL, not Savio Vegas in WWF or Puerto Rican IWA) out of shared contempt for Mexicans.
* Wrestling/MollyHolly tried this with her rival Victoria, after Victoria made it to WWE's active roster to get rid of their mutual enemy, Trish Stratus. It didn't workout but she then forced one with Wrestling/GailKim by threatening to beat Gail up until she did what she said (and what Molly said, was, of course, get rid of Trish Stratus). Victoria would also intimidate Wrestling/Melina into joining her against Mickie James, but then turn on Melina for Wrestling/NatalyaNeidhart.
* Wrestling/LayCool teamed up with Wrestling/BethPhoenix to rid WWE of Wrestling/MickieJames. However, Laycool then turned on Phoenix when recruited by Wrestling/VickieGuerrero, who happened to be dating Wrestling/DolphZiggler, creating a pseudo stable on Smackdown with Ziggler as TheOneGuy. The group even went on to have a match at Wrestlemania against the equally hodgepodge paring of Wrestling/TrishStratus, Wrestling/JohnMorrison and someone for Jersey Shore. They rejected Wrestling/AliciaFox though, when she tried to join them in their efforts against Melina.
* Johnny Curtis and Maxine on WWE NXT to kidnap Matt Striker.
* Wrestling/TheMiz and R-Truth, two heels in separate stories at the time, somehow found common ground and teamed up in September 2011. They were disqualified from a tag team title match at WWE Night of Champions when Miz attacked a referee. The next night on Raw, then-WWE COO Wrestling/TripleH, sick of their antics, "fired" them. In a reverse Nice Job BreakingItVillain, this set off a chain of events where most of the WWE roster turned against Triple H, leading to Triple H's ouster as the on-screen authority figure. Miz and Truth returned to WWE TV in mid-October 2011.
* Wrestling/BobbyRoode frequently in Wrestling/TNA. He teamed up with Wrestling/AustinAries to get rid of Wrestling/JeffHardy. Well, really to win every single TNA Title belt but really, get rid of Hardy. Then he teamed with Bad Influence to protest Wrestling/KurtAngle being inducted into the TNA Hall Of Fame. Then he teamed hired Wrestling/AcesAndEights to get rid of Jeff Hardy, again.
* On Monday Night Raw Antonio Cesaro, an American hating Swiss, teamed up with "The Real Americans", the immigrant hating Wrestling/JackSwagger and Zeb Colter. Anybody see an issue there?
* The Femme Fatales division of Canadian Northern Championship Wrestling had an evil International Champion in Wrestling/MercedesMartinez and USA based Wrestling/SHIMMER had an evil champion in Wrestling/CheerleaderMelissa. Teaming the two up must have seemed natural.
* Shigeo Okumura is normally against all things Mexican but with Mima Shimoda acting as his manager at the 2015 Fantastica Mania, he looked past that to team up with Mr. Niebla, Pólvora and Bárbaro Cavernario to avenge his draw against Ángel de Oro. It only took him four days to swear off his new Mexican allies, though Shimoda remained by his side.

* This was the point of the Vengeance expansion for TabletopGame/SentinelsOfTheMultiverse, with Baron Blade uniting a team of minor villains to take out the Freedom Five. More minor villains turned up to join the team with Villains of the Multiverse.

* Videogame/BatmanArkhamKnight deals with an alliance of Batman's rogue gallery led by Scarecrow to deal with Batman once and for all. Specifically they all chipped in to pay the cost of the army, the mysterious Arkham Knight led it, was the secondary commander, helped develop the Cloudburst, and the Penguin supplied weapons. Otherwise, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Penguin, Riddler, and Firefly all made a point to to cause as much chaos as possible in the hope of spreading Batman too thin. didn't seem to be involved and their operating on the same night may have just been a coincidence. The Riddler is also quite insistent that he isn't working with them. He just so happened to pick the same night. It's a total coincidence.
** Supervillians outside of the normal Batman continuity also contributed. It's hinted that a lot of the financing of the $3 billion army came from ComicBook/LexLuthor. Luthor himself also leaves Bruce Wayne a voicemail all but demanding he sell the Waynetech applied science division to him for $1 billion.
* There are varying degrees of cooperation between the villains in Videogame/BatmanArkhamAsylum and VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity, but the amount they can said to be working together is debatable:
** In Asylum: While The Riddler is implied to be giving technical support to the Joker and Quinn, Sacrecrow and Zasz seem to have simply been released to make things difficult for Batman and aren't really working with he Joker. is an unwilling accomplice to Joker and so they aren't working together. Joker also refuses to release Poison Ivy, and once Harley does anyway, both swear to kill each other after Batman has been dealt with.
** In City, things get even more complex: Strange turns out to be working for , the Mad Hatter was manipulated into helping them control the TYGER guards (and thrown into Arkham City once that was done), and they hire Deadshot to kill people with important information. The Joker is forcing Mister Freeze to work for him (who turns on him the moment he can), and has as a willing accomplice. The Penguin has as a secret weapon, but given its the cooperation is probably minimal.
* Being a MassiveMultiplayerCrossover title, Videogame/DissidiaFinalFantasy features one of these involving every main villain from the first ten games of the main series, and Gabranth, in direct opposition to the heroes from their respective games, and Shantotto.
* Franchise/KingdomHearts is not a straight example, since they teamed up to TakeOverTheWorld([=s=]) rather then to beat up the hero, but Maleficent teams up with Captain Hook, Oogie Boogie, Jafar, Ursula, Hades, and, later on, WesternAnimation/Pete, Captain Barbossa and Scar. One of the few villain alliances that actually managed to keep itself united without any form of internal struggles or betrayals entering the picture (the same can't be said about Organization XIII).
* In VideoGame/MassEffect2, the vigilante Archangel was such a royal pain in the ass that Omega's major mercenary groups put their differences aside to hunt just ONE guy.
* The story in VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 revolves around Doctor Doom and Albert Wesker leading a villain team up, which includes ComicBook/Magneto, Super-Skrull, Dormammu and ComicBook/MODOK. They also hired Taskmaster according to the promotional comic, but he seems to remain neutral to maximize his own personal gain.
* Franchise/MortalKombat:
** VideoGame/MortalKombatDeadlyAlliance has, well, the Deadly Alliance, consisting of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, who form an alliance to kill the two people who possess the biggest threats to them (Liu Kang and Shao Kahn) and conquer the realms using the lost army of the Dragon King.
** In VideoGame/MortalKombatArmageddon[='=]s Konquest mode, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Shao Kahn, and Onaga form an "alliance of traitors", as Onaga refers to it.
* Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics has Bowser and Dr. "Eggman" Robotnik scheme to melt all the snow in the world by capturing the Snow Spirits. They got at it again in the London 2012 sequel, this time creating an artificial thick fog to ruin the London games.
* VideoGame/SuperSmashBros:
** The Subspace Emissary mode of Brawl starts out with one of these, involving Ganondorf, Bowser, Wario, King Dedede, Master Hand, and with special guest appearances by Petey Pirahna, Rayquaza, Ridley, and Porky Minch. It quickly unravels though when Ganondorf attempts to backstab everyone, Dedede turns out to be a good guy, and then turns into a full-blown EnemyMine when the real BigBad is revealed.
** There are some lesser versions in event matches and what not. The showdown of Melee has Giga Bowser, Ganondorf and Mewtwo as a team vs whatever character you chose. Brawl has the Final Battle (Bowser, Ganondorf and Dedede team up), Two Trouble Kings (Bowser and King Dedede against Mario or Mario and Kirby), and the Final Battle for Two (two chararacters of player choice against Bowser, Ganondorf, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Wolf and Wario).
* VideoGame/SonicGenerations has
* VideoGame/SonicLostWorld subverts this by having Dr. Eggman "team up" with the Deadly Six by controlling them with a pain-inducing horn. The alliance lasts until Sonic knocks the horn away and frees the Deadly Six from his control. Oops!
* Sonic Boom: Rise Of Lyric has Dr. Eggman and Lyric team up very briefly, before Lyric decides Eggman isn't very useful to him. [[spoiler:This ultimately bites Lyric in the bum hard because Eggman shows up for revenge just in time to soften him up before Sonic's final battle with him, as well as take him down when Sonic's on the ropes.]]
* Because of the nature of the game, this happens in VideoGame/SuperRobotWars frequently and in nearly every game. Who teams up with who and for what reasons often vary, depending on the game. The first game has the Principality of Zeon, Doctor Hell and the Dinosaur Empire being mind controlled by ancient evil mecha. The second game has the villains united into Divine Crusaders by Brian Zoldak, an alliance that has fallen apart only in the sequel, when the Zabi familly took over after Zoldak's death and soon they started fighting each other. In VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsJudgment ZAFT can be found helping the Jovian army. Dr. Hell (see the Anime section) hires Gauron in VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsJudgment, works with Zeon in VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha and works with the Galra Empire in VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsW.
* VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsBX
** The Jovians and the Vagans.
** The Primevals seem to have an alliance with the Jaaku Empire.
** The forces of Drake and Marder.
** Kiba is now working for Dr. Hell.
* VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV:
** The Jupiter Empire ally themselves with Gamilas. They are later joined by the alliance of Neo-Zeon and Amalgam.
** The World of Mana has formed alliances with Amalgam, the Earth Alliance, Logos, and supports the Martian Successors.
** Leonard and Amalgam, as well as the remnants of the Martian Successors, later decide to join up with Embryo and his Diamond Rose Knights. Stage 35 even has this alliance support that of Gamilas, the Jupiter Empire, and Neo-Zeon, making for a stage where you have to fight all of the non-Federation human enemy groups (with about 10 bosses).
** Creator/NobuyukiHiyama confirmed via Bandai's product launch eve event Team Wolfgang, The Asian Mafia, Shadow Army, and The Pink Cats never once worked together in their series. [=SRW=]-V marks their first ever team-up to take on The Brave Express Team.
* VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsX:
** On the one hand, Zogilia and the Captial Army end up cooperating with each other soon after both land in Al Warth, with remnants of the Mariemaia army being added in. They all end up joining under the Misurugi Empire, and then Neo Atlantis decides to join up.
** On the other, Todd and a bunch of Byston Well soldiers (presumably survivors of Drake and Bishot's armies), Viral and his Beastman subordinates, Dr. Hell's forces, and all of the Nouvelle Tokyo criminals, who calls themselves the "BD (Black Diamond) Alliance"Using the 2nd ending theme title from Might Gaine. this time around, joins under Doakudar's army. Jeremiah and Anya also cooperate with them against their former allies Kallen and Suzaku, .
** Outside of those 2, Char has become part of Towasanga.
** Yazan, Rakan and Glemmy join up with the G-IT Corps. Eventually, both Towasanga and the G-IT Corps join under Misurugi.
** The Holy Britannian Empire and Drake's army did this prior to the game's events. However, as both stories are finished by the time of the plot starts, that's all done with.
** [[spoiler:Olympus, aka the Mycenae Empire, are allied with Doakudar, as part of their "Ancient Contract."]]
** [[spoiler:Lady Marianne and Shot Weapon are working alongside Embryo, who also has a long-standing alliance with Gargoyle.]]
* VideoGame/MegaManX 5 does this by way of implication. He never shows up on screen, but given all the callbacks, and the overall plan Sigma has, it's obvious that Dr. Wily is somehow teaming up with him. WordOfGod later confirmed he was brought back to life by the Maverick Virus somehow.
* While the original version of VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia has them fight you separately, the [=PS3=] version gets Dhaos, Shizel, Barbatos Goetia... and Kratos Aurion together for an epic four vs. four battle in the Merciless rank of the team arena.
* Pre-release footage of VideoGame/SonicForces has shown Shadow the Hedgehog, Chaos, Zavok, and Metal Sonic (from VideoGame/SonicAdventure2, VideoGame/SonicAdventure, VideoGame/SonicLostWorld, and VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehogCD respectively) standing together in opposition of the two Sonics and the custom hero character, apparently having aligned with Eggman in this reality (this despite the fact that Shadow and Chaos have never been seen as strictly evil up to this point). Also joining them is a new antagonist by the name of "Infinite".
* This is actually a very common strategy in online games where multiple human players fight, most commonly in team-based games. While this is a JustifiedTrope in team-based games, it can sometimes go into EnemyMine or KickTheDog territory when the game doesn't have any teams.
* In VideoGame/PokemonUltraSunAndUltraMoon, Team Rainbow Rocket is lead by a band of the team leaders from all the previous generations: Giovanni from the original Team Rocket, Archie and Maxie from Team Magma and Team Aqua, Cyrus from Team Galactic, Ghetsis from Team Plasma, and Lysandre from Team Flare. The main exception is Guzma of Team Skull, who at this point and , with their representative being .
* In the final act of Videogame/SouthParkTheFracturedButWhole, several of the enemy factions (Sixth Graders, Rednecks, Raisin Girls, Ninjas, Crab People) join forces against you simply because they really hate you. From that point on they'll fight you in regular overworld battles rather than just a single faction.

* One story in Webcomic/TheInexplicableAdventuresOfBob has Fructose Riboflavin, the Pirates of Ipecac, and Galatea all teaming up, although the pirates are there against their will, and it's arguable that Galatea doesn't really understand what's going on.
* The Hat and Robo-Cube in Webcomic/StickmanAndCube, although this is more of a hostile takeover on The Hat's part.
* As it's based on the VideoGame/MegaManX series (specifically the game mentioned above), this happens in Burning Stickman Presents...Something!, with a third villain, original to the comic actually being the one to put Sigma and Wily together. Naturally, all three are planning to betray the hell out of each other, though to their credit, they're planning to do it after the Evil Plan plays out.
* Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick:
** The team of Lord Xykon and Redcloak started off as this. The prequel shows that the two first met when Redcloak saw Xykon obliterate a garrison of paladins and, as Redcloak's brother says, "Let's suggest a team-up with him, Marvel style!"
** joins forces with Nale and the Linear Guild.
* Webcomic/TalesFromThePit: The Rules Manager and the copier team up to defeat MaRo! Their evil plan: make duplicate copies of the relevant rules to prevent Mark's new mechanic from seeing print!
* In Webcomic/RPGWorld, Galgarion and are hired by South Corp to take out the main group of heroes. While Galgarion is using South Corp for his own ends, he invites to do the same, effectively making his Dragon.
* In Webcomic/Sonichu a number of villains from the earlier issues (including Dr. Eggman and Giovanni) team up to take over [=CWCVille=] when Chris was away.
* Ian and Anita in the grand finale of Webcomic/ErrantStory.
* The final storyline of WebComic/TheAdventuresOfDoctorMcNinja has King Radical team up with some of Doc's older villains; Donald [=McBonald=], Frans Rayner, and Dracula.

* In the web novel, Literature/TheImpossibleMan, the villains team up to form The Amalgamated Union of Malicious Malcontents.
* In "Ayla and the Birthday Brawl" of the Literature/WhateleyUniverse, Hekate's unseen master makes her team up with The Necromancer so she has a safe haven from a true Sidhe curse. The same unseen figured gets Don Sebastiano to give them intel, and The Necromancer gets his Children of the Night, the Felonious Four, and Obsession to help him.
* In Literature/Worm, the city's villains are smart enough to temporarily set aside their differences against common OmnicidalManiac threats.
* A MassiveMultiplayerCrossover web series example, the Los no Frollos organization in WebAnimation/TheFrolloShow consists of Stocking, Scanty, Kneesocks, Corset, Hades, Batiatus, Marco Antonio Regil, Hans Frollo [[spoiler:(not willingly)]], Achmed Frollo, Jafar, Gwonam, Yusuf, Umlaut, Hitler, Günsche, Dmitri Frollo, Stalin, Yzma, Lemongrab, Wilford Brimley, WebVideo/TheIrateGamer, and Best Hercules. It eventually unravels when , , and [[spoiler:Wilford backstabs the organization and becomes the biggest threat to the world after absorbing Madotsuki's sorrows, forcing the remaining members to team up with Frollo and his allies]].
* Speaking of WebVideo/HitlerRants...
** The Hitler Council in hitlerrantsparodies' videos consists of the aforementioned Film/Downfall Hitler, the real life Hitler, The Bunker Hitler, Film/InglouriousBasterds Hitler, The Last Ten Days Hitler, Film/Valkyrie Hitler, and War and Remembrance Hitler. Cooperation rarely goes well in the organization, and a war breaks apart among them when the Downfall Hitler assassinates Valkyrie Hitler. [[spoiler: In said war, the real Hitler teams up with the Na'kuhl to help him defeat the other Hitlers.]]
** There are times when Fegelein may team up with other pranksters to pull an antic on Hitler.
* Villain Team-Ups are a common occurrence in Podcast/RedPandaAdventures. The most prominent in the series is the Red Panda Revenge Squad, consisting of the Crimson Death, the Electric Eel, the Genie, Mordriel the Malevolent, and Professor Zombie. An AlternateTimeline version of this team up successfully killed the Flying Squirrel and information on how is used to sway the main timeline's Red Panda into helping a traveler from that world. When the group eventually forms in the main timeline, they very nearly succeed in defeating the Red Panda despite the mystery man having had years to work out how to beat them. The episode also brings up some of the issues that plague such team-ups, such as Insufferable Geniuses and Large Hams causing clashing egos, past team ups ending on a sour note restricting who to have join. * Tends to happen quite a bit in the Ride/DisneyThemeParks' stage shows.
** WesternAnimation/TheDisneyAfternoon Live! stage show that ran at Disneyland in 1991 had Don Karnage and Fat Cat teaming up to steal a top secret plane.
** Fantasmic! contains one between Queen Grimhilde, Ursula, Chernabog, and Maleficent in its original California version. For the Florida version, Jafar, Frollo, Hades, Cruella DeVil, and Scar join in as well.
** From 2002 to 2005, Walt Disney World ran a daily stage show in which Disney/Cinderella hosts a party at her castle and its get crashed and taken over by Queen Grimhilde, Captain Hook, Jafar, and Shan-Yu.
* In the reknowned VideoGame/DwarfFortress LetsPlay , a rather hilarious one occurs, when a group of goblins decide to team up with the elephants who were already holding the fortress under siege:
-->"I think they're starting their own little town in there, elephants and goblins living together in peace and harmony, joined only by burning hatred for dwarves."
