British producer, heavily influential in the creation of
Doctor Who along with
Sydney Newman. Also notable for both being the youngest producer, and the only female drama producer, in
The BBC at the time. As well as
Doctor Who she worked on several other well known series, including
Rumpole of the Bailey and the final series of
Jonathan Creek.
