The Prehistoric Crisis is a 2011 novel about dinosaurs by palaeontologist Abanoub B. Marcus, who also wrote The Tale Of Dragonfly series. However, unlike the aforementioned Dragonfly stories, this book involves, not talking dinosaurs, but rather, sci-fi dinosaurs eating people, more akin to Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park. The basic plot is about a palaeontologist named Howard Smith, and his assistant, Helen Kirby, who are taken to Australia by a mysterious man named Theodore Markov. Once there, they discover that dinosaurs are running amok in Australia. Later on, Howard discovers that these dinosaurs were cloned by his former friend, another palaeontologist named Oliver Ferdinand. Oliver's plan is to use the power of the dinosaurs to become the most powerful man in the world. In the end, Oliver Ferdinand is killed by a Troodon jumping at him off of a cliff, and Howard and Helen get to go back home.
