Satelight is a Japanese Anime studio mostly known for the
Animated Adaptation of
Fairy Tail and
Macross Frontier.
First established in 1995, the company is the second Japanese studio (
TMS was the 1st due to
AKIRA and
Toshihiko Masuda's ''Hooked On A Ceiling'' when Michelangelo paints the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel) to utilize digital Animation (
Production I.G,
Wang Film Productions and
AKOM would follow shortly after. Mainly due to CG usage). The company also uses CG in many (if not all) of their works.
