![]() SAMBA! "Samba de Amigo" was a 1999 Rhythm Game released by Sega on the Arcades and Sega Dreamcast. This game was one of the first Rhythm Game to gain notoriety, winning many price for its originality (at the time). One thing that this games from the few Rhythm Games that came before it, and the many that came after it, is that it doesn't have JPop-esque music, instead including mostly popular Lat Am songs. (and some other English songs like Flying Higher)As many instrument games, you are suppoused to use Maracas in order to play it. Moving the maraca at precise timing will let you complete a song.Shamefully, since the death of the Sega Dreamcast these series has faded in obscurity, which is a shame considering what a game it was. Besides the main game and one Updated Rerelease, it only getting one re-release game in the later years for the Nintendo Wii . This updated release contained many-though not all-of the songs from the original, added many new ones, and added the dance mode from the Japan-only Samba de Amigo 2000."Amigo" the monkey has also gained notoriety, turning into some kind of Sega mascot, reason why he appears in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and Sega Superstars.This series provides examples for:
