Many commercials involve a first-person view from the perspective of the announcer of the commercial. The Total cereal commercials, for example, use this technique, with (presumably) the announcer's hands waving around. Others have the announcer shoving a microphone or the product in the faces of random passersby as if it's "live" or something.
