Moving Animal Man and The Authority examples to the grouping of DCU examples, as Animal Man is a DC hero and The Authority is officially part of the DC Comics canon both due to the Wildstorm Universe being established as part of the DC Multiverse and because the Wildstorm-associated characters presently co-exist with the characters of the main DC Universe.

* ''ComicBook/AnimalMan'': Creator/PeterMilligan's run has Buddy Baker find himself in an alternate reality where the President of the United States is a man named Eagleton who needs Buddy and Nowhere Man's protection from some psychic children known as the Angel triplets. It's later revealed that the Angel triplets are right to attack the President because Eagleton is in truth a duplicitous psychopath who [[ChildHater wants to murder all children]].
* ''ComicBook/TheAuthority'': The President of the U.S. even ''confesses'' to being a shill for big business. The Authority, who has had a long history of taking down dictators, depose ''him.'' Things go okay for a while until The Midnighter figures out it's all heading south and fast. Unfortunately, the only way to stop it is to [[spoiler:let D.C. explode]].
