* In an episode of Series/TheITCrowd, when Jen finds out Moss , she furiously slams him onto a desk, during which Moss is very clearly a dummy.

* One episode of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace features a chase scene where for one shot Dag (typically played in-universe by Garth Marenghi) is conspicuously portrayed by a double in a wig, which fits in with the show's StylisticSuck.

* In Series/GuestFromTheFuture, it's very easy even for a first-time viewer to spot the doubles of Mikhail Kononov and Vyacheslav Nevinny, since the former's double has sideburns while the actor doesn't and the latter's double is much slimmer than the actor. The doubles pretty obviously take it over when:
** In the second episode, when Jolly U is dangling over the river.
** In the second episode again, when Werther spins the pirates above his head at the Institute.
** In the fourth episode, when Jolly U jumps out of the window, leading one of the fans to snark that "during the jump, Jolly U lost some of his hair and figure".

* Music/NinjaSexParty will often use an obvious mannequin of Danny, nicknamed the Dannyquin, for stunts such being thrown off a cliff or beating an enemy to death with Danny's body.

* Film/Elf: Upon closer inspection one can see that Creator/PeterDinklage's stunt double in the conference room scene is not a little person.

* In Film/CarryOnGirls, the diminutive (4'10) Creator/BarbaraWindsor was filmed making her escape by riding a moped across the camera's view. This would have been more effective if it wasn't so obviously a burly stuntman in a headscarf and mini-skirt. In a series of films renowned for their cheapness and consequent tendency to print and use the first take, this was a low point.

** Film/CarryOnLoving: When Miss Dempsey picks up Gripper and throws him out the window, it is obvious that Creator/PatsyRowlands isn't holding Creator/BernardBresslaw, but rather a stuffed dummy dressed in his clothes.

* Film/Scarface1983: When is shown on the helicopter before he gets hanged, it is extremely obvious that he's played by a stunt double before he gets dropped out.

A StuntDouble, TalentDouble or BodyDouble are often used to allow a character to do something extremely difficult or complex that is beyond the capabilities of the actor, or is otherwise too dangerous to risk the main star. Typically this change is hidden through wide shots or selective camera angles that prevent their face from being clearly seen. Unfortunately this is not always the case, sometimes seeing someone obviously NOT the actor in a FreezeFrameBonus or just through sloppy editing. This can be seen as a PaperThinDisguise on a production level, typically doubles are selected based on their resemblance to the actor but that's not always possible, thus you see the character suddenly change their ethnicity or body shape for a moment in a form of SpecialEffectsFailure.
