At the end of the We Would Have Told You, But... plot, either a supporting player or someone previously unknown to the main character will reveal the setup to the main character. They'll finish with an outstretched hand and the words "No hard feelings?". The main character will say "No hard feelings" and either shake their hand or punch the revealer in the face. Which one they do reveals something about their character.
Alternate use: Career Killers, mercenaries and other emotionless villains often say this right before they Shoot the Dog — compare Nothing Personal.
