Starred a smartaleck boy sent an artifact by his mother, only to find an enchanted baseball cap signifying him as a chosen hero, and who went up against an unusual pantheon of enemies and monsters. Also included viking Big Guy Norman, who provided the muscle, and Mr Exposition, Virgil, who happened to be a humanoid fowl (but not a chicken). The resident Big Bad was Skullmaster, a dyed-in-the-wool villain powered by the voice of Tim Curry.
