Describe Mezzamine here.
It's a kind of flooring. I prefer linoleum myself...Oh, wait, Mezza mine? Oh, never mind then.
Let's see. I'm 16, male, and very much a slave to the internet ( including this very wiki), and at least partially scarred because of it (thank you, goatse).
I'm currently taking my AS levels (Maths, Further Maths, English and Psychology). and then hope to continue on to Oxbridge. Like you care.
Oh yeah, and I'm half French, half English. Go ahead, make a joke about tea drinking surrender monkeys. I don't mind. Hell, I don't even like tea. Love cheese though.
My interests seem to be a mixture of socially acceptable things mixed with pasttimes that would utterly destroy any scrap of social status I managed to aquire should it ever reach the ears of the douches. You know the people I mean. I'd better split this up.
- Films - I prefer Action and/or comedy films. My favourites include The Dark Knight, The Big Lebowski, Serenity, The Matrix, anything by Monty Python, Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pulp Fiction and CloverField. No real problem here. Although say you like Burn After Reading around my school and see what reaction you get.
- Tv - Again, mainly comedies. Although Firefly is probably in my top three. I also enjoy South Park, Family Guy, Top Gear (even though I don't much like cars), Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Big Bang Theory, Mock The Week and QI. Still no real problems.
- Reading - I read a lot. Very few people I know seem to agree that reading can actually be fun. Whatever. Fuck 'em. I like HP Lovecraft, Stephen King, Douglas Adams, Darren Shan, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaimen, to name a few. Just don't get me started on Twilight...
- Music - This could take a while. My music tastes range far and wide, anything from dance to punk to metal to pop to rap. This doesn't mean I like everything (Most dance and rap is awful to me), just that there will usually be at least one artist in any given genre that I like. A few of my favourite bands include Muse, Billy Talent, The Vines, The Hives, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Feeder, Cage The Elephant, Imperial Leasure, Eminem, Pendulum, Anti Flag, Bad Religion, Gorillaz, Iron Maiden, The Offspring, Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Powerman5000, Rammstein, Slipknot, Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver. Just to name a few. My Ipod has over 250 artists, 600 albums and over 8000 songs. So forgive me if I don't list all of them.
- Gaming - Hoo boy. Gaming is one of my main pastimes. I'm a subscriber to PC Gamer, I love finding indie gems like Cave Story and Armageddon Empires (look it up). I also particularly enjoy Okami, Psychonauts, Beyond Good And Evil, Deus Ex, Bioshock, Prototype and every Valve game ever.
- Comics - I don't read the mainstream comics (Superman, Batman, Spiderman etc), But I love Sandman, Watchmen, Scott Pilgrim and Transmetropolitan.
- Webcomics - Yes, I'm keeping this seperate from graphic novels because of the sheer number I read. Currently I have 11 comics that have finished, and which I have finished reading; 23 that I am currently halfway through (including Dinosaur Comics, Sluggy Freelance and Bob And George); and 30 that I am up-to-date with and check every weekend when I come home from school. These include Questionable Content, Penny Arcade, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, XKCD, The Order Of The Stick, 8-Bit Theatre, VG Cats and The Adventures Of Dr Mc Ninja).
- Anime - Yes, Anime too. I started on Akira and Afro Samurai, then proceeded onto Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. As of now, I've just finished Death Note, and am eyeing up Code Geass (once I've finished with Spaced and Avatar The Last Airbender.
- Sports - I hate them. Canoeing's fun, and my main form of exercise, but anything competitive and I'm out.
Gaming, comics and anime. It's the geek trifecta. And to top it all off, I'm thinking of adding tabletop games by buying a copy of Paranoia.
Tropes used in the vicinity of this Troper (Trope is a funny word. Trope trope trope):
Wow, you really read this far? You really have no life, do you?
