Kana Hanazawa is a voice actor born in 1989, from Tokyo. She debuted as a voice actress in 2003 but it wasn't until 2006 that she started doing voice work with any regularity and has gone on to have several major roles since then. Many of these make her a Relationship Voice Actor with Haruka Tomatsu. Lately she also seemed to have a Relationship Voice Actor with Hiroshi Kamiya ( Durarara!!, Bakemonogatari, Angel Beats!, Blue Exorcist, Zegapain, Kobato, Break Blade). Also with Yoko Hikasa ( Seikon No Qwaser, Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin, Infinite Stratos, Moshidora and RO-KYU-BU!) The characters she tends to play are often very timid, soft spoken girls as well as being a source of perverted seiyuu jokes, namely that topless 4koma moment as well as 1 time 100 yen memes. Her break out role was probably Sengoku Nadeko and the Moe Image Song Renai Circulation from Bakemonogatari. Her popularity steadily rose in 2010 and is on her way to become one of the more prominent seiyuu. She was cast in 5 shows in the fall season of 2010, tied to three other seiyuu in second place in the numbers of roles. Currently in a Idol Singer group called Ro-Kyu-Bu along with her fellow co-stars/teammates from the said show.
Notable Roles Tropes associated with her- Bastard Boyfriend: Her self-proclaimed former boyfriend boasted on 2chan to have had made love with her. He showed a photobooth picture of him (?) and Kana-chan as evidence of their relationship. Fortunately, Osawa Agency strongly stood by her side and brushed off another potential Yoko Oh No incident.
- Casting Gag: Twice as Kuroneko expies Noir from Dog Days and Kobato from Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai
- Young Anri from Durarara!! looks suspiciously similar to Sengoku Nadeko.
- Ink Suit Actress: Anri, Mayu, Mayuri and Kozue has virtually the same haircut as her pic above. She grew out her hair since that picture was taken though.

- Name's the Same: Twice with four different names Kobato/Mayu/Shiori/Chiaki
- Pigeonholed Voice Actor: Moe and the Shrinking Violet archetype, like her senior Mamiko Noto. Some have criticized that she has limited voice range, only because many of her shows like to cast her into that position. She is quite capable for Playing Against Type such as Yandere Shiro from Deadman Wonderland, Tsundere Deadpan Loli Kuroneko, freaky otaku Tsukimi from Kuragehime, Genki Girl Kureha from Mayo Chiki!, Handicapped Badass Ace Pilot Action Girl Ayase Shinomiya in Guilty Crown, and Shameless Fanservice Girl Zessica Wong from Aquarion Evol.
- Relationship Voice Actor: With her fellow RO-KYU-BU! members in addition to the anime of the same name. She shares a few roles with Yoko Hikasa (Infinite Stratos, Moshidora, Seikon No Qwaser, Dog Days, Inu X Boku SS, Sketchbook, Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin, and Campione), Yuka Iguchi (Bakemonogatari, Mayo Chiki!, Haganai), Yui Ogura (Ore Imo and .hack//Quantum).
