Friday Night Lights is an entity that has had the honor of being a book, a movie, and a TV show.
The book itself chronicles the storied Permian Panthers of Odessa Permian High School in
Odessa, Texas. While the book
may or may not include a number of items slamming the team, the release date was certainly unlucky: while it was enjoying its greatest publicity, the team was enduring a scandal involving illegal off-season practices.
