->''What else could I say?''
->''Everyone is gay.''
-->-- '''Music/{{Nirvana}}''', "[[Music/InUtero All Apologies]]"

The tendency for {{Fanfic}} and other fan works to include an improbably high proportion of characters that are homosexual/bisexual/pansexual, even if the original work contains no indication of such a thing. Works possessing a CastFullOfPrettyBoys or an ImprobablyFemaleCast are especially susceptible to this, as there's virtually no choice for [[{{Shipping}} shippers]] to avoid this route other than applying a GenderBender or RuleSixtyThree, or [[RelationshipSue adding in their own original character]], which by many is considered far worse. Often considered a form of CanonDefilement and CharacterDerailment, although obviously those perpetuating it mostly disagree.

HetIsEw can be the culprit, and unfortunately in these cases any remaining heterosexual characters often fare poorly, if not ending up [[RonTheDeathEater suddenly evil]] [[DieForOurShip or dead]].

Compare and contrast EveryoneIsBi. If this occurs in official works and sanctioned adaptations, then it's a CastFullOfGay. AdaptationalDiversity is a common reason behind this trope. Sometimes fanfiction writers just want to see people like them. More than that, though, it's the [[YaoiFangirl usual suspects]].

[[folder: Theatre]]
* ''{{Theatre/She Kills Monsters}}'': Quite literally stated that everyone in New Landia is gay.

* A video on ''WebVideo/JandrewEdits'' takes their TNG video edits directly into this, by bringing [=LaForge=] into the existing TriangRelations between Picard and two Rikers.

[[folder: Western Animation]]
* ''Webcomic/ForEternity'', a web remake of ''WesternAnimation/RainbowBrite'', has all the Color Kids (as well as its versions of Rainbow Brite, Stormy, etc) as male. Considering that the only females in that universe are childlike temple guardians or the four mother Goddesses, this is justified.
* ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants''. Bikini Bottom is the [[http://community.livejournal.com/fanficrants/7778309.html?thread=221837061#t221837061 gay district]] without any appearance from Sandy Cheeks whatsoever.

Per TRS, Everyone Is Gay is being merged with Cast Full Of Gay. This example was already moved.

* In an article by ''Website/TheOnion'', [[http://www.theonion.com/articles/jack-nicholson-leonardo-dicaprio-tom-hanks-denzel,28904/ every celebrity came out as gay]].
