Cookie Jar Entertainment is a Canadian entertainment company founded in 1976 as Cinar. It started out as a film and television distribution company in New York, but in the 1980s, it moved to Montreal and would go on to make many children's shows, specifically animated cartoons.

The studio was bought out and re-branded as Cookie Jar Entertainment in 2004. In 2008, the company acquired DIC Entertainment.
