Named after the eponymous Chinese warlord of history and legend, Cao Cao is in fact European born and bred, but he has long had an interest for Asian cultures in general and Chinese civilization in particular. He is the author of
Superpower Empire China 1912, though most of the spin-off stories have been contributed by guest writers.
While a fan of anime, he doesn't claim any encyclopedic knowledge of the genre; but he does know a thing or two about art-house Asian cinema, and he grew up on
French Belgian Comic Books. He also enjoys
