** In ''Literature/WitchesAbroad'', Lady Lilith inverted this trope, turning a frog into a prince so he could rule as a figurehead under her control. The book also reveals Granny Weatherwax prefers to simply make the victim ''[[DelusionsOfDoghood think]]'' [[DelusionsOfDoghood they've been transformed]], which is technically less cruel but a lot more entertaining, and wears off after a few days.

Many cards that create the Cursed role, such as [[https://scryfall.com/card/pwoe/108s/spiteful-hexmage Spiteful Hexmage]], specifically suggest through their art that flavor-wise the target becomes a frog, although in terms of game mechanics the creature remains whatever kind of creature it was before (unlike some other "transformation" effects which pointedly alter a creature's type).
