Daibhid C: Does Rincewind qualify (maybe as a subversion or deconstruction)? Granted, it's more Running The Earth (or, rather, Disc) trying to avoid adventures (and a lot more about how this lack of a fixed address often involves being cold and hungry), but the effect is much the same.
