Sci Vo: I'll finish M-Z later. This one's rough.
Micah: I should be able to do some of this sometime tonight. In the interests of consistency, it looks to me like you're:
- Deleting all Tropes banners on linked pages.
- If there isn't a banner on a linked page that fits into a top-down categorization, adding a Universal Tropes banner.
- If there is, deleting it from here.
Is that a fair description?
Sci Vo: It's more subjective than that. I'm working to keep this one as small as possible, since there will be an inevitable tendency to treat it as a catch-all if someone just isn't sure where a trope really belongs.
It would be awesome if you did one of the big categories left in the
Universal Tropes Wack-Up, like
Comedy Tropes or
Speculative Fiction, or even just part of one. Those are more straight-forward, just a matter of adding the genre index to the trope and vice-versa (if it hasn't been done already), deleting the
Tropes index from the trope, and deleting the trope from the uncategorized alphabetical page (like
Tropes A To E) and the
Universal Tropes Wack-Up. Best to do a bunch at a time, so that you don't have to wait for the index pages to load as often.
Sci Vo: I'm halfway done with 'S'. What's making it take so long is that we have a lot of new categories since the Wack-Up was made, so a lot of the "universal" tropes aren't any more. I expect to finish today. //Later: Done!
