Susan Davis: Yamato did not have Bridge Bunnies — the bridge personnel were all male naval officers and ratings. There was a female nurse on board, but no Bridge Bunnies.
Binaroid: Actually, the nurse (Yuki Mori aka Nova Forrester) spent most of her time as a navigation officer on the bridge later in the series. (I could argue about Bridge Bunnies being a female-only trope, but this isn't the place.)
Looney Toons: I agree with Binaroid that Bridge Bunnies need not be exclusively female, even though the entry describes them that way.
Licky Lindsay: in one episode, Shima's little brother builds a model of the Yamato. In other, they use a balloon (wouldn't it explode in space?) that looks like the Yamato. Does anybody know if these were Product Placement for merchandise? |
