Kylone: I'd thought I'd bring some speculation (I just got done marathoning the series myself) about Minori. I don't really see the Wallbanger here as much as 'everyone' else. 1) Minori backed away from Taiga after misjudging Tiaga's father, in the back story. 2) Minori is very perceptive, and was friends with both Taiga and Ryuuji. 3) (The Wallbanger) She loved both of them, and yet did nothing to act on those feelings. My speculation: after seeing the changes Ryuuji and Taiga created in each other, she decided that that would be best for both—she was almost strong enough to go through with it, and very cagey about it. I get the feeling that if Minori broke earlier, we would have ended up with an OT3.

Dentaku: I am usually not the one to start edit wars, but I am beginning to get miffed since someone keeps removing my entry to Gayngst, despite numerous hints in the show that it applies. The thing is: if someone thinks a trope is valid, it usually is—unless it is explicitly contradicted in the show. In this case Minori actually admits that she wonders whether she is a lesbian and it would offer a good explanation for her behavior , so why does it keep on getting deleted? Also, there are numerous hints that Ami and Minori hook up—enough to make a large part of the fanbase believe this.

Dion Shmion: "A good explanation"? Is "she likes the guy her best friend likes" not a good enough explanation? Yes, she's very probably bisexual, and she is unsure of her sexuality, but she doesn't angst about it. All her angst is explained in-show as "she likes the guy her best friend likes".
  • The way the TV anime showed Minori's "love" for Ryuuji was just... bizarre. I haven't read the light novels, so I can't say for sure, but I always thought Minori was in love with Taiga from pretty much episode one. Her bad case of Can Not Spit It Out to Ryuuji made it more difficult to tell, but the story still had me thinking Minori wanted Taiga. I was somewhat shocked (and even more frustrated) when she admits she loved Ryuuji.

In any case, I suggest a compromise: Links to Schoolgirl Lesbians and Gayngst are removed, but in their place are links to Bi The Way and Les Yay added. This way, Minori's bisexuality is acknowledged, while speculation is marked as such. What do you think?
Zeke: Cut this note on Can Not Spit It Out:
  • Ami drops some extremely obvious hints. "Minori would be no good for you. You couldn't have a relationship with her as an equal. I would be your equal." Cue baffled look. Then play this out a dozen times in about six different ways. No wonder she's so apathetic half the time.
Come on, Ryuji isn't that dim. He knows full well that Ami's after him, he just isn't interested. (I don't blame him, considering that she only started pursuing him to get under Taiga's skin.)

Synaesthetic: I think I may have looked too deeply in Ami's dialogues with Ryuuji, but bear with me. The way I saw it, it barely seemed like she was interested in him for any other reason than to irritate Taiga. Ami seems very perceptive concerning both Ryuuji and Taiga.

Additionally, none of the characters can ''ever'' spit it out; this story would be a hell of a lot shorter if they all didn't fear confrontation to a ridiculous degree. Ami is the only one who really had the guts to say anything, and even then she swathed everything in twenty layers of subtlety instead of just speaking plainly. It must be a Japanese thing, because christ it was frustrating to this American troper.
Ack Sed: I can't decide whether to hurt or cheer on the adder of "It's toradorable". What the hell,I laughed anyway!
