Sikon: ...the heck?

The Other Professor: This is a meme.

Tyris: What it's not is a trope. I blanked the article but can't find the delete button.

The Other Professor: Thats what I was in the process of adding to the discussion when you came along. Tropes are a subset of memes. We only categorize tropes. Cut List!

Nerdorama: Trope or meme, we all just lost it. Sorry, wanted to get that in before the deletion.

HeartBurn Kid: I think we should keep it. List it in Just For Fun or something.

Meems: I know Just For Fun is the right place for this, but now I can't get to the evil overlord vows without losing... grr...

Air Of Mystery: No I'm not.

Dammit, Random Item!
Big T: Back on the Cut List yesterday (3/17/2008), it was suggested that this article be moved to the Just For Fun category. I don't think that's such a bad idea. That way, we can indicate that it isn't really a trope, yet keep something that seems to be popular enough to avoid being Cut Listed.

Kinitawowi: KILL THIS FUCKING THING WITH FIRE. Failing that, explain exactly what the hell it has to do with Tropage; failing that, go back to spamming it on The Other Wiki. Seriously, this thing is the bane of my life.

Rogue 7: It's harmless fun, and amusing when you think about it (at least to me). Chill.

I won! Hooray for Randall Munroe!

Citizen: I remember starting a YKTTW for "The Game" with the text "You just lost it". I wonder if that was the inspiration—I'm certainly not the creator of this page. If you want to delete it, go ahead; Just For Fun shouldn't be a dumping ground for random memes/nonsense. In the meantime, though, let's keep to the established standards, shall we?

Caphi: Rules 2, 5 and 6 are either false or home rules. Replacing all rules with text from original site. Kthx.

Also, I lost the game.
Can we do something about the picture? It's been covered by the nav bar

Citizen: Adding a "[[<<]]" markup right above the index markup fixes that.
Sketch: Aw, Citizen, can we at least talk about this? It's funnier. :p And punny.

Later: Replacing it, not to be an ass, just to get your attention faster so we can talk about it if it really displeases you.

Citizen: I've ceased to care, so whatever.
Cambdoranononononono: I'm somewhat skeptical about the Death Note bit; can someone confirm any particular increase in usage afterward? It seems to me that it was well-known enough for the XKCD strip to reference it months before the English dub aired. Plus, people had to know what it was to find Near's use 'funny'. It also looks like the current comment was edited down from one that incorrectly believed that the name originated in Death Note, which makes me even more suspicious.
Katsuhagi: Take this off from redirect from the Home Page. Really, it's obnoxious, it's not funny, and it's disruptive to the site.
Rogue 7: This is a Just For Fun page and a legitimate concept.

Egregious Eric: Don't cut this. Just remove DESTROY the examples.

Mary Leathert: My suggestion would be to remove the examples (at least most of them) to Troper Tales.

Insanity Prelude: It doesn't need examples, I agree. But could you please calm down, Inkblot?

Kalle: I am fully convinced that Inkblot hates fun, judging from all his additions to the cutlist. :(
