Lime: ... What if you happen to have a name that's already a trope and want your own page? Veritas: I seem to have the same problem, and, Lime, since no one has seemed to notice this relevant issue I share I did ruin this page more. Yes, that wasn't funny. (Your edit is months old... and the most recent; I obviously just took the liberty of moving it to the top of the list.) I happen to have used a common latin word, which shares a previously unknown-to-me anime title. If this is unsolvable by your knowledge, I hardly mind using some other favourite Ominous Latin Chanting. Mr Etaoin Shrdlu: Based on what we did with the Home Page, maybe a feature could be added where only the contributors themselves could edit their own pages. I understand there have been some problems with contrib-page vandalism. 18-Till-I-Die: I'm a little unclear on the instructions, am I to just write my name in there (BTW, with or without spaces?) and it'll set up a page or whatever? Bceuase the instructions aren't entirely clear on some of this. theFirebottle : This was ridiculously scrolly so I added in foldering. Is there a specific reason these entries don't all have the index markup? Would it be out of bounds for someone on Winter Break and bored to tears to add it to them? Bluetooth The Pirate: I guess no one ever considered it necessary to page through the contributors pages, but if you want to set it up, no one will stop you. It is done, but new contributor pages will still have to be indexed manually, and the original authors are less likely to know how to do so. Fast Eddie: (28Jan08) Zapped a bunch of names of people who couldn't be bothered to make a contributor page. slalvation: Could that be why everything I've posted to a talk page before has disappeared? ~: Hmm, I guess I need to come up with an actual word? =/ Big T: Naw, just create a page at Tilde and use the following construction to sign your comments: [[{{Tilde}} Þ]] which should produce ~. Okay, so maybe an actual word might be easier... Citizen: The number of people who think to put their troper page on this list but fail to add the index markup annoys me... >_> Big T: I didn't realize that was the purpose when I first started here, either. Fortunately, it won't matter soon, as Fast Eddie is going to change how the indexes work. In order to get on the index, they'll have to have the index markup. Mullon: I would like to make a contributor page, but I don't really understand the instructions. I guess that means I'm not ready yet. Freezair For A Limited Time: Your name isn't a Wiki Word, so you'll need to put brackets around it. Otherwise, just stick it in the list in its alphabetical place, and edit some info about you on it. Type this: {{Mullon}}, which should show up as Mullon. Edit away! Mullon: Thanks! Gamer Guy: How do I add Myself as a contributor and make a personal page? iamtroper: Just type "Gamer Guy" after "Main/" in the address bar. A blank page should pop up. Color Printer: To whoever screwed up this page - You REALLY messed things up. Way to go. Frank75: In case you want to know - it was KS. Blame him/her. Gelzo: Shoot, I think I deleted some names on accident and I'm afraid try to fix it in case I make the same mistake. You guys aren't mad, right? |
