New editor here. I'm a big fan of American TV shows, but I was wondering if it was okay to add common tropes from Mandarin TV shows. Produced in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Or is this the wrong place?
Gus: Go for it! Should be interesting. Perhaps something like
Mandarin Show Tropes (similar to
British Telly Tropes) will help kick it off.

Fast Eddie: At one point, it was the front door of the wiki, in a sense. It was the very first page made here. Some people still use it as their bookmark. It could probably be made a redirect to the
Home Page, but we ought to let a few opinions flow by on that topic, first.
Tropes is morphing into a comprehensive index with one notable exception: the next-highest-level indexes (currently just
Genre Tropes and
Media) don't get indexed on
Tropes when they're in a format where they look good on the page. I can picture this becoming the index for those top-level categories, once the rest are done (for the
New Sidebar Whack Up). At that point, it would be like a table of contents version of
Tropes, so it would be an even better alternate front page than it is already. I don't see any reason to get rid of it.
