Tabby: Loving the name.
BT The P: Thanks. I was thinking just "Scooby Doors", but I wasn't sure how many people would pick up on the double meaning, so I added a Dooby. (Interesting side-note: "Add a dooby" is the unofficial motto of UC Berkely)
Ununnilium: Seriously, I don't get how you can hate "Love and Monsters". It's one of my favorites of the new series. <3 Mister Six: The despicable ending, in which a woman is reduced to a (literal) sex object and we're all supposed to cheer because it means the male protagonist didn't lost out too much. It also made The Doctor look like a grade-A... "Berkshire Hunt", if you're up on your Cockney rhyming slang. Big T: First, I don't see how it slams the Doctor at all. Some bad guy says some bad stuff about him. Boohoo. And the woman is somehow a sex object because she voluntarily performs the only sexual act she can now do? Sure. And we aren't supposed to cheer - it's intentionally a bittersweet ending. It shows the Doctor can't always save the day, but he can sure as Hell try. Mister Six: How does this trope subvert itself? Shay Guy: Which Game Boy Color Wario game had this in a commercial? Was it Wario Land II? Medinoc: I also saw this trope in a film with Leslie Nielsen, where he is chased by a cop in sewers. However I didn't see the title...
Marz2: Is it possible that the Endless Hallway is a Subtrope of this? |
