Anomalous: Not a member, so I am wary of editing the page, but would MPD Psycho qualify as playing this trope? The plot revolves around genetic regulation and cloning of the Japanese population, which only compounds the confusion when a given characters' body contains multiple personalities (hence the MP in the title).

Morgan Wick: Um... what exactly is this trope?

Jisu: Cheap animation -> cheap character designs -> you really couldn't recognize a character in a Wig Dress Accent.

Seth: Another one for the Lazy Artist index.

Duckluck: You know, I think we're maybe being too forgiving here. This trope is emblematic of extreme laziness and can even be somewhat offensive if one group gender gets a wide variety of faces and body types while the other gender all look the same. Note that this happens in western animation too. The symplified art style in the DCAU/Diniverse sometimes produces this trope.

Air Of Mystery: What anime is the picture from?

Raekuul: This is lampshaded in the third episode of Sailor Moon Abridged... what category would that be listed under?

goodyfun: Web Original. But I'm likely too late with my answer to be of any help.

Dentaku: I think the example of Fruits Basket is a bit meek, since I myself have a lot of trouble to keep the characters apart—especially the male ones.

Elephant Bones: Changed the image, here's the original if anyone feels the need to revert;
Thank goodness for different Hair Colors.

Muninn: Looks like somebody's since removed whatever image was there most recently (not sure if it was yours), and had a reason for doing so. Restoring the Tokimeki image

Sharm Hedgehog: I deleted this,
"In a very famous subversion/inversion of this trope, Fullmetal Alchemist creator Hiromu Arakawa has been given exorbitant praise for how easily distinguishable her characters are from one another - a feat even more impressive when one considers that over 80% of the cast wear IDENTICAL UNIFORMS, including one of the main villains!"

because it's on the wrong page, a nearly identical version is on Cast Of Snowflakes, and it sounds way too much like Gushing About Shows Y Ou Like. I mean, "very famous?" Anyway, I was thinking of copy/pasting to Cast Of Snowflakes, but as I said, an identical version is there, so it being on this page is redundant.

Daibhid C: Do puppets count? In Sesame Street, there's maybe a dozen or so humanoid muppets that get reused to create Loads And Loads Of Characters, and in Dinosaurs I think there were six dinos apart from the Sinclairs.
Etc.:There's an example here about the Scott Pilgrim series. Having read the series, however, I believe the opposite- the characters are now quite easy to tell apart. The first and second volumes had a bit of this, but since then there's been a lot of Art Evolution (For instance, http://www.flickr.com/photos/radiomaru/3844935603/ ) . Is it okay if I make a note, or take it out? I'll get more pictures of different characters if it helps in decision-making.
Kinai: Could anyone explain me the diference between Only Six Faces and Star System?

Muninn: Only Six Faces is when an artist has several characters within the same work who share the same facial structure, whereas Star System is when an artist is capable of drawing different faces, but reuses them between works (eg. Character A in work B has the same face as a character in work A)
