New Media Tropes Discussion
Bluetooth The Pirate: I did? When did I do that? Crap, I'm some kinda subconscious genius, like Mayor Hundred in Ex Machina!

Morgan Wick: I believe I've found the source, from August 2005, same as this.

Lale: Would media and music executives' paranoid fear of amvs as a threat to their profits go under Executive Meddling, New Media Are Evil, or a new New Media Trope?

Looney Toons: Hm. Probably a new trope, though damned if I can think of a clever name for it.

Fast Eddie: Fear of new media. Certainly a trope. Records were to kill off live music, movies were to decimate theatre, radio would kill records, as would eight-tracks, cassettes, and the iPod. All while television had all the rest of it on the run... until cable, Ti Vo and My Space destroyed all life on Earth. I'd go with Media Phobia, in New Media.

Morgan Wick: Either a split from or part of New Media Are Evil.

Ununnilium: The name proposed in YKTTW was The New Rock And Roll.

Tanto: You could also probably slide Emulation in there as well.

Lale: It's not on the list on the page, but amvs are a new kind of media, so I think it's appropriate to list it here.

WVI: I got rid of that line. It's not like I don't like credit where it's due, but it's irrelevant and Wiki's not for your ego.
Meta4: Changed [[WebTwoPointOh Web2.0]] to plain old WebTwoPointOh (Web 2.0) so it shows up properly in that bottom-of-the-screen indexing doohickey.

I can't come up with enough examples to write an article. (Well, I figure I shouldn't anyway.) Kimera757.
