Keru: I tried to make it as complete as I could, but I'm sure there's some stuff missing. Well, that's the beauty of a WIKI, I suppose. I'll make sub-tabs later in the Noteworthy Anime section for either the various series, or the various continuities... Not sure which yet (Universal Century has a lot of entries to be made, if we go by individual series, and some of its continuity is movies besides).
Kendra Kirai: I added a note about Turn A Gundam's Correct Century 'alternate universe'
Sparrowhawk: In regards to the "two most well-known" shows, I assume Evangelion isn't considered a mecha series? (Cue open can of worms.)
Ununnilium: I'd say it is, but. >>
BT The P: It's not new now, but it is newer than the others, and it's a deconstruction rather than a straight example, so when talking about well-known mecha series it's very likely to be passed over.
Sparrowhawk: Works for me. By the way, does anyone know if Amuro's supposed to be a Charlie Dog, or (for that matter) even Japanese in the first place?
