Haven: Took this out because...perhaps you thought
Fridge Logic meant "the entire premise of the movie", is the most charitable way to put it. The second one, slightly less so, but it's still an explicitly pointed out plot point.
- Fridge Logic: Let me get this straight. In the future, I can be arrested for a crime before I've even had the chance to commit it?
- The Precrime system is supposed to be perfect because cops can stop murders before they happen. Okay, some theories claim that altering the past or in this case the future is impossible; obviously this isn't the case meaning there's no fate, meaning that is possible that the crime wouldn't had happened at all, as the film establishes. Now, couldn't anybody realize this and detect the obvious failure? This leads to a moment of Fridge Brilliance—someone did, they were silenced.
